    Usual thorough review by Shiva! Like you said, they should have added more buttons. But I wish these buttons are programmable for the functions we like. For example, one could be for Defoggers, one could be for Glove Box, Couple could be for the AC settings etc. Let user pick the function they like and of Couse allow labelling.

    Hi Shivaa, were you able to close that cover where the harness is at with multiple devices daily chained? I have that problem now and was hoping you would show how to were able to put the cover back on.

    Can see me hitting the wrong button occasionally due to me momentarily not remembering which is which. Will wait for the next generation (probably in 4 months) with more buttons that are also labelled with small graphical representations

    I've recently purchased this product but havent had the chance to install it yet so im not 100% sure but I do believe there are 4 more functions to these buttons that you did not cover. If you press and hold the buttons down, you will see one more function in each button.

    Finally the Console Hub With Physical Buttons For Tesla Model 3/Y came. I mounted it and tested the buttons.
    however, I was surprised to see that the last button that does preconditioning does nothing. So I have a question for those of you who have installed this device: does anything appear on the screen during preconditioning when you press the button?

    I'm honestly not green for this because of it needing to use the port in the rear center console. There are a lot of better accessories that utilize that port (rear infotainment screen, infotainment cluster just to add a few) so I'm down for taking away those accessories for just a USB hub with buttons.

    • @ShivaSapkota
      @ShivaSapkota  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your feedback! You can still keep all those products and add this to the back. I have 3 different accessories connected to that port at the same time without any issues. Thanks!

    There are enough buttons honestly! I do not really see what else I would like to do with additional buttons (except maybe left back door)! At least, it should be possible to support up to 12 actions if they could support long press.
    Two main issues for me (before I buy): I’m looking for something programmable so I can choose which action for which button. And a way to label them of course!!

    • @kenjohns8245
      @kenjohns8245 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is an identical looking product from another supplier that does support the additional functions of long press of each button. The long press function allows passenger seat forward, pass seat back, pass seatback forward, pass seatback back. I like the ability to move the passenger seat.

      Take a look at Absract Ocean and the S3XY buttons. Might be more to your liking. Their individually placed and programmed buttons are also a solution to the idiotic placement of the turn signal buttons in the middle of the wheel, and the lack of stalks.

      Releasing the doors for Tesla Tyros, kids, passengers with hands full is a nice feature. The cord manager is a plus. If losing a USB C outlet upsets you, there are small USB C hubs available on Amazon and elsewhere. The bright LEDs illuminating the cavity is a plus as well.

It doesn’t do anyone any good by having so many displays without knowing they will stand by their product. Sounds like a porn company just mass producing to make money.

      I take exception to that last comment. So you can buy something cheaper on a shady site. Do they also make instruction videos? Although I am quite technically savvy, there are lots of folks who are put off by "technical things". Even if yo are all thumbs, Shiva's explanations really make sense. Go pick on someone else.

    • @ShivaSapkota

      I actually never delete any comments. Ask any other TH-camr and they will tell you the same thing that if you try to put a link on these comments TH-cam automatically removes them as spam. That is why we put the links in the video description only.
      I don't care where you buy your stuff. I just link it to the seller that sent me the product because that is the specific product I have tested. The affiliate income I may get from these products is peanuts compared to the resources I use to make these videos.

      @@The_DuMont_Network Thank you! As I responded to @verlex's comment, TH-cam likely removed it as spam. Putting a link on comments is not allowed per TH-cam's policies unless it is a link to another TH-cam video.
