Thandiswa literally shaped how many young black girls came into feeling beautiful and free in a world that glorifies western beauty. She has this magically and goddess energy. It's about time she is given a lifetime achievement award as well.

I remember On Twitter some years ago, people were attacking Ntsiki and comparing her to Thandiswa, Ntsiki then tagged Thandiswa to callout her Fans, Thandiswa replied "asibazi nobazi ababantu- We don't even know these people"..I still carry these words in my heart and that's how I deal with Abantu bazothini Syndrome.♥♥♥

Years ago when uThandiswa was working on ibokhwe I had the privilege of hearing the album before it was played on radio and I think the song "Ingoma" was also there! Ndikhumbula ndisithi le ingoma is going to be a hit... And it was and still is the song that I love as if Ndiya qala ukuyiva. It Has That Thing... It is not an ordinary love song... It's deeper than meets the ear! I always sing it to my kids... Ingoma the song is a deep spiritual love song...

Maqhawekazi igama lami u Nunu Ngema. I just wanna say l worship Thandiswa if she would open a church l would gladly
join. She has healed me with her many songs, but Thongo lam feels like was dedicated to me. I've been going through a lot and that song connects to what l have been going through. Mthakathi awudeli. Kodwa ngibonga okhokho nokhulukhulwane amadlozi wami ngempilo yami abayiphephisa day and night. I just wanted to say that out loud. THANK YOU KING Tha.

Thandiswa's aesthetic has inspired a generation. I always go and say that she's the closest thing to Lauryn Hill we got, not saying she's another version but her being herself makes her so influencial like the likes of Lauryn. I learn a lot from Thandiswa, I too lost a mother at an early age I think I was 10 as a middle child but I think her death brought out the maturity in me. It's kinda hard for kids to lose their mother early cause that shuts down their world , it's like life is starting all over and we like lost souls. Before her passing she gave birth 2 months prior her death, she named our Lil bro Mduduzi I'm only realising now that she knew that she was leaving us with someone whose gonna comfort us. Great episode

I understand what you mean brother. I see it. RIP to your mother. I only lost my mother in 2020 and it has been feeling like I have been trying to find what my reality it since her passing. And I'm 30 now. Shows the power that mothers have over our lives. I hope uMduduzi uzoqhubeka abe yilenduduzo athunyelwe ukuba abe yiyona. Parents usually know.

"When you are a kid, awungomtu omnyama, ungumtu"....took me back to a thought I once had while looking at the eyes of my niece who was a newborn at the time. They were so clean and I was like, she hasn't yet seen the evils of this world and her purity is somewhat depicted through her eyes.

Thandiswa is a legend, I mean she has inspired an entire generation into appreciating and loving themselves. She inspires me as an artist, there is a song that I always play of hers to connect to my Africaness/Spirituality if I can call it that, I put that song on repeat and just sing along, dance along and just be. The song is titled; Thongo Lam (Iyeza), it is on the Ibokwe album. That song is my medicine...

Their combi was parked in our school parking lot (Mmabatho Highschool) which is also Stoan's former High School. I saw Stoan first and immediately asked where's Thandiswa (As if she was the only other member of the group) He told me where to find them and when I got there, Thandiswa smiled at me (with that gorgeous smile of hers) and told me I'm beautiful 🤩. There was a strange but sweet connection, I felt butterflies in my stomach but not the nervous ones, the sweet ones. Now I know that we were totally crushing on each other.

Thandiswa exudes that Aries energy for real lol, it's surreal to even think that she created the work she has at the time she did and made such an impact. Ntsiki, you are phenomenal in creating dialogue. The world has shaped you to become the power house you are truly destined to be. God speed to the Mazwai sisters.

I love how Thandiswa makes you feel so soft and feminine Ntsiki.
I love how you were so authentic and comfortable Thandiswa, you spoke from your soul and gave us a glimpse of your life, your craft and your spirit in a way that is so so beautiful.
You ladies really did a great conversation where it was ego-less and so effortless.

This was an interview I never knew I needed. Thandiswa is such a powerhouse and I enjoyed the angle of this interview.
Ntsiki you're a great interviewer because eventhough you know a lot about Thandiswa and are cognisant of the topics/questions that you could have raised to stir controversy/views, you chose to engage with her from a perspective that allowed us to learn something totally different about her and I appreciate the fact that you believed in us as your audience on being able to learn more about Thandiswa without including the other personal stuff.
    This was so refreshing.
