In this video, I'll solo Challenge of Elders in 2023 in Destiny 1. Destiny 2 Prison of Elders exists in the form of Warden of Nothing.

The thing I like about the PoE boss mechanics, is they aren't just "Dunk Ball" or "Throw Ball" like every mechanic in D2.
Bungie literally has so few ideas that these balls made their way into the strand subclass as well. They're lucky its insanely fun to use...

i mean in d2 it works well but even if they reused some encounters from WoTM or KF it would be a lot better. ill never forget the build segment in wraith that was peak d1 encounter ngl
here in d1 you got: stand in ball, shoot ball, run away from ball and who could forget throw ball

This brings back memories. I tried soloing Challenge of the Elders not too long ago and I just couldn’t do it. I posted help for it and got one person who has become a great friend of mine.

Destiny 1 was just such a good game man. It tickled me in a way D2 never did.

Keksis was really interesting because if you play solo and cautiously, you realize he’s blind(he has no eyes and his head is tilted most of the time, away from you) and can only track you thought the sound you make and I wish Boss variety was that Interesting in D2

The sound of Hung Jury putting in work just brings a smile to my face. -Especially the Boss version of Hung Jury….(awe…….firefly, you were the best!) One scout rifle to rule them all!

I remember I used to Solo challenge of Elders because I didn’t have any friends to play the activity with (I wasn’t good enough Solo POE Skolas 😔) and let me tell ya, once I got the process refined for each weekly variation, I felt like a D1 pro. Good times tbh
There's a spot in the reef hub where you can jump to the bottom of the map and survive. You can see all you friends jump off and collide with the ground, makes the funniest noise ever.
I got to boss on challenge of the elders last weekend 1st try. I need to go back and do that this weekend.
I remember finding cheeses on every boss encounter for these activities and me and my friends were still kinda garbage at it 😂 I wish they would bring this stuff back!
I still love Challenge of Elders, going for high schools was great fun, changed your playstyle without feeling forced and only Menagerie has gotten near it for me since.

I'd love for bungie to release D1 on pc. Prison of elders was a fun edition to the game for my friends and I back in the day. Its a shame that it's yet another thing they didn't bring into D2. I tried playing it on my old Xbox one a year or two back and the frame rate was killing my eyes. The resolution too to a lesser extent. I'm probably just spoiled by my pc. 😂

I miss PoE so much, would love to see it or a mode like it come to D2. With higher enemy density and the more unique builds of D2, plue the unique boss mechanics could make the mode endlessly repayable.
Can you do a complete video cover POE and what made it special compared to seasonal horde modes

Skolas still ranks as the hardest thing i've done in either game and frankly the first time we got it, it was due to rng when we got a good dismantle order
i love(d) PoE. puzzle light, stay alive. This was one of my favorite pve activities in either D1 or D2.
I miss the feeling of getting on with friends to grind this out on all three characters.

My last day of D1 in September 2017, I played POE. Now, that I have come backt o D1 and quit D2, cannot wait to go back to the POE. :)
Man this brings back memories, my friends all quit D1 after Crotas end so I was stuck soloing everything for a long time. Challenge of Elders was easily my favorite thing to run, always took me forever since I had to play careful but I loved doing it, even if I was alone

I got back on because I was inspired by your series and I was lovvvvinnnggggg it but I was basically soloing everything and it got a bit old a bit fast having to do it all in my own. I don’t exactly have a ton of great loot so that doesn’t help
The community tab on Xbox has people lfg-ing. Otherwise, there’s a few discord servers I think. And of course, you can do what I did in this video and just message other people in the tower

You have to select the specific prison of elder mission like uroxxes grudge, skolas, etc. not the regular Prison of Elders because it’s matchmade.
Idk why Bungie doesn't bring more D1 content into D2, we have exotics from D1, two raids atm, armour, weapons etc.
With how bad the seasonal content has been lately and a DLC that was kinda mid (imo), Bungie should just reprised most of the important content from D1 to have more ways to play the game.
I probably just ignore the reasons behind this or the complexity that this can bring 😅 but I hope this happens one day.
They left all the good stuff in D1. This would be cool in D2.

I loved PoE back when it was released. But i didnt play very often and when i got fired i had to sell my PS3, this year i got a PS4, i got suprised that to play some contents im Destiny yiu8have to buy a subscription... So still no PoE for me. Wish i could feel the thrill to play PoE again.

Watching d1 content makes me realize why d2 will never capture the feel of the original. Destiny was a passion project. The devs worked their asses off to make this game as good as it was, eververse didn't siphon content and put it behind a pay wall. We had Srl, you could que with friends into rumble, rift was fun af. D2 will just never be that. While objectively the better game, it's simply too corporatized for its own good. It's too focused on finding as many ways as possible to separate us from our money, and not focusing enough on making amazing content that us the hardcore fans can hold up and say "This is why we love this game!"

It's honestly sad to see how empty this game is now when compared to when I first started playing in middle school. I also wish D2's difficulty was like D1's. Actual mechanics that made you feel invested in the gameplay that didnt rely on heavily nerfing the player itself
