Is Geralt a good person for you?

Some people said that he is good, that he takes care of his loved ones and defends the innocent. On the other hand, some say that he is a murderer who moves for his own interests, going over many people, including innocents. He clearly loves Yennefer (at least in the books), but is constantly unfaithful to her. For me, he is a great professional, questioned by feelings that in theory should not be typical of a witcher.
The first time I head about Geralt I thought he is an awful person. Do you read a short story and it started with Geralt killing people just to be send to the burgomeister a bit sooner?
But all in all, this was the worst thign Geralt did.
Moral relativity is a running theme in the story. Every person has their own motivation and goals, even a random bandit could be robbing people to feed his starving family whos home had been destroyed by the war. This is evident in the monster lore with sentient v animalistic, the "good" or "bad" seems more reflected in understanding or prejudice.
As for me that is what makes him so different and special from the others. he supposed to be non feeling monster slayer, that is what everyone who don't know him thinks, but nothing further from the truth.
Why does Geralt avoid getting involved in the Courts of Kingdoms? Because it's a moral clusterfuck where you cannot avoid causing suffering.
I always considered Geralt to be one of the most virtuous characters in the universe, in the sense that he really tries to be a good man and always do the right thing. I think that Geralt dreamed to be some sort of knight-in-shining-armor type of hero, but the world he lives in is so harsh that there's no way for him to be that kind of man so he does the best he can do.
Geralt is a "good" person to me, as good as the definition goes for teh WItcher world.
