She says in an interview in Everything Hitman that Fiona Bruce, a bbc anchor woman is her motivation or influence for the english accent, at 1st she kind of hesitated to voice Diana but gave it a shot in the end and wow she did great! You can hear the Fiona Bruce influence, news anchor style in Diana's briefings which is cool. Jane Perry is awesomely skilled.
Fun fact when Diana mentions Silvio is an old client, it’s clear he gave a contract to them before. the target was a politician in a special mission in the hitman game Which makes killing Silvio a little ironic
Normally they're not allowed to take contracts on past clients, but I presume that this was an exception due to the fact that his virus is a threat to the well-being of the ICA.
@Nouxatar the virus was made after the politician Misson in the movie set , patient zero and the politican Misson his villa is locked although some his guards are still around.
Style of still/slow-moving images and main theme of 2016 as background music make those best briefings in the series. I wish they had continued with this style in other 2 games.
Ikr, the minimalist briefing has a certain “authentic” feeling I think. Cuz they probably didn’t have the time to make a full blown animation just for the briefing in real life assassination situation. But that’s just my take
@@dopsgaming8796 Exactly. It feels like a compilation of all documents, photos, videos, intelligence etc. ICA has about the contract. It feels realistic.
I like Hitman’s mission briefings because I think they feel ‘unique’ in some way. Very well explained on a way to be direct at the same time with a good target action explanation!
I gotta say, I really love how the ICA keeps the choices of targets in a morally grey area. As in you’re not just killing someone just because a contract tells you to. You’re also killing criminals that are growing into a grand threat to society and/or humanity. Really makes any player become engaged in eliminating targets no matter how big of a heart they may have.
It fits with ICA's general pragmatism in that people perfer stability over anarchy and will generally pay more for the former. That said, it's implied that ICA handlers are free to pick and choose contracts at their own discretion so Diana picking people who just so happen to be criminals, murderers, conspirators and utter bastards in general might just be her and 47's own brand of justice.
Bond is a spy first and foremost, not an assassin. He is permitted to kill on the job if necessary, but he's not usually sent in to do that from the get-go. Plus, other nations take a very dim view of intelligence agencies operating in their territories and killing people (Israeli Mossad are still persona non grata in Norway in real-life due to the infamous Lillehammer affair, for example) so by employing the ICA as a go-between, MI6 can maintain plausible deniability. IAGO were selling all kinds of things they'd pinched or blackmailed from all manner of powerful people and organisations, any of whom could have been responsible for the assassination.
Allegedly, she found evidence of corruption in the United Nations and tried to show her superiors but was brushed off. This allegedly broke her which could explain why she joined the militia.
The music makes these briefings amazing and stylish: the true essence of Hitman.
I absolutely love the 5:05 but I can only find version without this fragment :(

Ms. Jane Perry as Diana Burnwood was an excellent choice to voice her. She knocked it out of the park with her performance.😀

very professional intro. befits the world of assasssination.
when the first one ended i actually went into my mission planning posture, leaning forward and moving my mouse to switch out the fiber wire

Iirc, Caruso's target was Marco Abbiati, a politician with mafia ties.

the second briefing at Sapienza the virus looks similar to coronavirus 3:07
47 stopping covid
This game does take place in 2019
Well the design is close to the coronavirus family
It leaked from Wuhan Lab just like this!!!

*First client: MI6*
Guess 007 wasn’t available, huh?
Lol even the new bond movie is taking its time releasing
They need the best there is, so they don't hire 007.
@trevorphilips2947 James bond could do the job its 2 targets however 47 is better for the job because of disguises .
Bond is a spy first and foremost, not an assassin. He is permitted to kill on the job if necessary, but he's not usually sent in to do that from the get-go.
