Sound is crisp and clear. You can easily make the volume much louder than you would want. In the confines of an all tile and glass shower it doesn't take much volume to get an impressively loud sound. And be sure to set your volume on your connected audio device before you get into the shower because sound output is controlled by the device that is sending the audio, not the speaker itself.
I have not gone looking for the shower head on web sites since I purchased mine, however when this was first released I was unable to locate it at the big box stores and it was being promoted by the local plumbing supply company. I'm glad to hear that other sources are carrying it.
There is a USB port on the back side of the speaker. The speaker fits into the shower head with magnets, it it is very easy to remove from the shower head. Just pull the speaker off the shower head, open the little rubber port that covers the USB connection and charge with any USB power source. Even after all these years, it is still a great product.

Out of the shower it has been accidentally dumped into a vanity sink full of water and came out just fine. I can't speak to Kohler's official guidance, but my experience is very positive.
Hey, did this come with the Speaker stand??? I spoke with Kohler three times and they said that it should have the small plastic speaker stand piece. I went back to the store nad confirmed that another unopened package did not have the speaker stand.
I'm not aware of any speaker stand that came with it. I didn't have one in the box and I don't see any references in the documentation that came with it.

Good question. However, I've never let the speaker get to the point that it died outright. I like to keep my batteries charged which also usually extends battery life.
Sound is clear, consider that you are using it in a pretty small space, so you get a lot of bathroom echo. You can make it very loud in my opinion, but that depends on the line level of your audio source and then how much volume you are able to give it through your bluetooth audio source.

Very clear, crisp. Not stereo. But it gets sufficiently loud to compete against the natural echo chamber of a fully tiled shower and running water.
