I cannot believe that worked, I shoved the aluminium foil into the jack and jiggled it around and now both sides are working and I did not even have to leave it the foil in there...MIND BLOWN...thank you

This actually worked. At first, it did not so I kept on twisting the aluminum foil around it worked. For anyone else who can't get it to work, try twisting your headphone just a little from side to side. That's how I got mine to work.

I tried this and did what you did what you did it still doesnt work! The only way it works on both sides are i fold them but then i cant even put them on! I may need to just buy new headphones

I did this and it worked for a while, but now I don't get any audio at all in Bluetooth but it still works fine wired. Would replacing my aux port pcb board fix it?

This works only with bluetooth connection. If you can't hear one side with the cable, I think it's something else, sorry and good luck!

@@muzappar well let me explain: my headphones only don’t work in one ear if I lean one way or the other or if I put pressure on the side with my hand but idk it works sometimes in both ears and sometimes in one. Pls help cant find anything on it

For anyone who wears there beats to school (like me) having aluminum taped to your ear can be super embarrassing. I have found that if you leave them turned off with the aluminum in there for 5-7 days it seems to fix itself and you are safe to remove the aluminum

I have the original beats studio wireless and the right side is usually off but randomly turns on. also if you sweat in them, the earcups start to disintegrate I Think Beats are bad quality for their price
That's my whole point! I am using SONY headphones now and it's 100 times better and confi! Never had an issue!
You can buy earcup pad replacements. They're reasonably cheap.

It just happened to me I got scared
A very easy fix where it doesn't require anything but and aux cable/or anything that can be inserted which conducts current (ex: aluminum)
1.you want to turn on your headset
2.place your aux cable (or a conductor) into the aux Jack in a way that first turn off you headset. If it turns off just redo the process.
3. If using an aux cable as soon you see it worked pull it out slowly without twisting it or anything. If using a conductor you need to twist it at first to find the right spot then do the same thing as the aux cable.
What I did after I turned it off and back on to make sure it worked
And I tested the aux cable with the headset it also worked

Awesome video! Day two of wearing these and it stopped working on the right. I’ve found that this problem occurs after using the audio jack function. If you hit the sweet spot you should be able to remove the aluminum and hear both sides without having to tape it.

I have got this to work so thank you, but I have managed to get it to work without having to leave the foil in. It is also in stereo not mono as a quick Dolby surround video will prove. I’ve turned them on/off, extended the headband, folded them up in an attempt to re-break them and they are still going (without foil dangling out) so thank you very much

Unfortunately, that’s the only way. I use it only with bluetooth so that works for me. Maybe you don’t have to tape it, I am not using a tape recently, so it’s pretty easy to take out and put in, hope that’s not a lot of trouble.

I found out that if you push from the side that you have trouble with a little bit it starts working both side. But if you release your hand it stops working and I am thinking about opening it if there's any released wires in it. Foil works but I want fully working Beats sad ; - ;

@@ryani7170 Oh then those Sony big headphones are not gonna work, and they aren’t water proof, sweating would be an issue. I normally just use apple AirPods when I work out, feel like that’s the most convenient.

It doesn't fix the problem, because this makes your headphones mono. You redirect the working channel to both sides trough the aluminium foil

goto your os's audio settings and switch to mono audio if you can. getting L and R out of both speakers is better than just getting L out of both. but that's just like my opinion, man.

That's why I'm using Sony WH-1000XM5, the experience has been sooo much better! No need to buy anymore BEATS
This fix takes the left channel and sends it to both sides. So there's still no right channel. You can go to settings/accessibility/audiovisual and change to mono audio. Then both L/R channels will get sent to both speakers if you use Dir.Muz's foil fix. This happened to me after I used the headphone cord all because I wanted higher quality sound for a remix of Animals that just came out. So I think it's something wrong with the jack itself and not the speakers. Imma try compressed air in there and see what happens.

No, it's normal. You push too far, it will turn off. It's more of rotating than pushing.

It's crazy fam almost let them temp hold 329 for new pair I went In a Frenzy in the kitchen looking for some aluminum and I found some wrap in bread in the fridge put a lil in the hole now both sides work again preesh ion usually like and subscribe but you earned mines today lmao I took the foil out after the other side started working again and it still works still I thank you cause now ion gotta buy the temporary hold replacement or buy temporary headphones until my new ones arrived

This method works most of the time, but if it is not connection problem, this might not work. If you put the aluminum into the jack and push it, if nothing happens, maybe it’s a different issue.
What if it’s the charger port side

You can roll a 2 to 3 inches wide and a 6 to 7 inch (approximately) tall foil to the right size so it can be in the headphone jack and the foil won’t fall out

It works partially, but thanks anyway.
It duplicates the sound of the good ear to the defective ear. In my case, it duplicates the sound from the right ear to the defective left ear. If you are ok with listening to mono sound, then put your audio settings to mono, else you will miss some sound.
For me this is an emergency fix, but not a proper one, since I like listening to stereo sound, specially with music. Listening with the audio jack works fine for stereo sound, but too bad I can't use audio jack with my mic (for calls). I just wonder about the root cause of the issue and a proper bluetooth fix?
Yes, it's not perfect solution, but works for some people. I am using it only with cables with my electronic drum these days, I use Sony for editing, lot better.

Yea, if pushed bit much, it will turn it off, happened to me a few times as well, guess just keep trying. But this method worked for over 90% people not all anyway, good luck!
