From traditional sports to potholing to quidditch, we have more than 60 sports clubs to choose from. Our teams play at every level, so whether you want fierce competition or a friendly kickabout you can always find a game.
Every year you’ll have the chance to compete in the Roses tournament - the largest university sports competition in Europe. We pit the pride of York against bitter rivals Lancaster in a grudge match going back 50 years.
Over the past few years we’ve invested £9m in sports facilities, including a 25m swimming pool, 3G-football pitches and an Olympic-size velodrome.
