Not saying that there is anything wrong with the show, but I do think there is something wrong with my friends and how they listen and under things. I have autism as well and I’m nothing like dr Murphy but they still believe that every autistic person is like him(I have told them way to many times that I am autistic) But I still love the show and it actually inspired me to want to be a doctor of some sort.

It's probably stress related if this illness has been affecting them for a while. I knew a guy whose dad had a medical emergency and it seemed like he aged 10 years in just 1. It's crazy what your body can go through when it's trying to recover from something traumatic.

So it's it's "safe and effective" and somehow "never been done before". I've never in my life heard a doctor say something with 100% certainty other than their names.

If you paid attention, it makes perfect sense in context. In the original surgery, both adrenal glands would be removed. In the new and improved surgery, the adrenals would be drained, aka like "popping a pimple," but NOT removed, therefore meaning less invasive and safer.
