Random thoughts while watching: Frenzal is amazing, That Pennywise album is amazing, the Offspring song “truth in fiction” is really good, I liked “My Sanity” by Bad Religion. Propaghandi are cemented in S Class. You guys are awesome, great stream 💪
Cup of Pestilence is the most easy S tier. Nothing comes close from the other bands there, IMO. I have it as #2 for Frenzal albums and honestly, pretty close to Smoko, but agreed last three are the top 3. Frenzal have become masters at making catchy, fast punk rock. I love their vocal melodies and I don't know why, but I love Australian accents in punk rock. Also, Gordy rules! The other S - tier is Hypercaffium Spazzinate. Anything less than A is blasphemy. It's great!
#CupOfPestilence is the easiest S tier choice 👊 'Those People' is the best. I wonder whether poeple get the Aussieisms on here like the 'Gravy' song :) I love that you guys love (let alone know) bands like Frenzal. :)
#Hang is definitely S-tier material, but #Railer is a mile away. Such a gap between these which surprised the hell out of me. ALbum covers are poles apart too. :D
Victory lap is easily the best here for me, Cup of Pestilence is the only other that comes close. Also, I have hired a lawyer to fight the case for justice for double album.
Shit, Railer it's better for me than u guys says. S- Railer n Never Gonna Die A- Frenzal n Bad Religion B- Propagandhi n Sum41 C- Descendents n LTJ D- OffSpring n NOFX
Double album would be better if it was a fat mike solo album.. which after reading the spin article, it kind of is! It’s not a great nofx album, but it’s not terrible song writing
How come you didn’t use 9th & Walnut as the last Descendents album? I know a lot of the songs were written in the early 80s but I believe the recordings were all done in 2021.
I don't agree with John on everything, but the things he has strong opinions on, I have those same strong opinions. For instance, Jini and Big Black Dog are just horrible songs. And I also didn't like the comparison of Frenzal and Descendents albums, and it was hilarious when Louis said it looked like E farted in his mouth LOL. I couldn't put Less Than Jake in the S-tier, cuz I don't know that album. I stopped listening with Anthem, and while it seems to be a popular album, that's precisely where they fell off for me. I'm not a huge ska band to begin with, but Hello Rockview is amazing, and I'm betting my bottom dollar that nothing they've released since have really come all that close to being as good. Good video as always. Cup of Pestilence absolutely for the win on this episode.
The love for Pennywise on this channel is a bit dumbfounding to me. I've always found them weakest of all 90's punk bands, In fact they're the only band I know in the genre who plays live right near where I live and I still can't be bothered to see them. Pennywise are worse than Offspring at rewriting the same song over and over again. One thing is right though, NOFX latest music isn't good. Offspring, Green Day, Blink & Sum 41 have all made solid latest albums.
Omg the hate for the Offspring is ridiculous. I hope you have your punk police badge in your pockets always ready and prepared to tell people what is punk and what not...posers.
Yeah, we never said the Offspring wasn't punk. Do you not understand personal preference? or the concept of a tier list? No one said you couldn't like Supercharged, no need to take it personally.
@@PunkRockRadar Where it rightfully belongs! Their post Fat Wreck output has been phenomenal crossover technical thrash/punk and the only band on the list still trying to innovate. Much love to all the bands on the list here, but all others haven’t had a top tier banger in close to two decades. I was really hoping for an Offspring comeback story with this new one though :(
@@atreacherouspathDon’t think they’ll ever recover unless they finally ditch Bob Rock and ditch the weird novelty bullshit entirely but those are things they won’t let go for whatever reason
Your opinions about Offspring are totally wrong and honestly it's disgusting how much you disrespect them. Supercharged is the best album of the year easily
I get riding for blink or Green Day or NOFX but riding this hard for The Offspring in 2024 is wild and I say this as someone whose gateway to punk was largely that band
What are your rankings?
S descendents | less than jake
A sum 41 | pennywise
B bad religion | offspring
C lagwagon | frenzal rhomb

I thought I had a strong opinion, but mine seamlessly aligns with your consensus. 😅 Just found out about your channel last week. Already loving it.
Thanks man! Appreciate that ❤
Love these lists! Keep them coming!
Will do!

I loved Age of Unreason
Me too it seems like a lot of people hate it but I think it’s their best since Process Of Belief

We are accused of being Frenzal marks most of the time 😅 thanks man
A lot of people were exposed to them thanks to the Fat Wreck comps :)
#Hang is definitely S-tier material, but #Railer is a mile away. Such a gap between these which surprised the hell out of me. ALbum covers are poles apart too. :D

We will reevaluate it in a year. We still have Self Entitled on the docket for reevaluation 😅
Self entitled is a banger you need to listen to it again. Underrated.
Cant believe that when it comes to "Age Of Unreason" no one mentions "Old Regime" - that song is Bad Religion at its best imo
Goddammit, justice for my Double Album man
Shit, Railer it's better for me than u guys says.
S- Railer n Never Gonna Die
A- Frenzal n Bad Religion
B- Propagandhi n Sum41

They even put the LP+EP tracklist together. The LP has 16 songs, not 22.
We decided on Hypercaffium for that reason, just felt it was a better representation of the newest Descendents record.
Pennywise just sucks everytime live! :p and descendents is my favourite in this list ;)
Cop Just Out of Frame is a top 5 Propagandhi tune
Wow you guys really hate electric skeletons
if it ain't an orange and glowing skeleton I'm out
Pennywise in S! Hell yeah!
Bunch of Frenzal jock sniffers up in here...😁
Smells like beer bongs and vegemite
@@ergoth154 😅
WHoah... #AgeOfUnreason is pretty good, though I had those reactions at first I guess. It must have grown on me a lot more than you guys.
Tbf I only gave it one listen and I didn't remember anything being that bad, maybe mediocre, but nothing bad.
I don't agree with John on everything, but the things he has strong opinions on, I have those same strong opinions. For instance, Jini and Big Black Dog are just horrible songs. Both were recorded at The Blasting Room, yet another similarity in my favor 😅
Cup is pestilence is the best punk rock album I’ve heard in years but fuck hard with a lot of these albums nonetheless

Kinda agree but About Time is an incredible album though
Rancid ?
Already done on a previous video
age of unreason is so much better than never gonna die what are you on
Hard to a balt album when it soud same
I don't think I've ever seen Dylan smile before
Untill I watched this video*
Nah, it's just the shaving
Haha it very rare that Dylan breaks character.
Pennywise pleases their fans until it comes to concerts.
Absolutely not!! They sound amazing love!!!
@@JohnADuerkI assume they mean the bro mentality they and their fanbase have at shows?
Failed States is SOOO much better than Victory Lap
Sorry, you will never be able to convince me that Sum 41 has ever made a better album than NOFX.
Pretty easily actually, HxH is effortlessly better than Double Album.
It's also better than like 3 other NOFX albums 😅
@@ergoth154 stop gaslighting people that Sum 41 is a good band!
Who should offspring be making music for
Probably Offspring fans
I think vocals are the main reason why most 90s/00s punk bands sound like crap today. That's especially true for NOFX, but also for many others.
A lot of 90s punk vocals are also more difficult than they seem to pull off, and with age, it just becomes even harder.

Riding this hard for a band that hasn’t been legitimately good in a couple of decades at this point is wild
Yikes. Personal tastes and all but Victory Lap is the only truly great album here. Every other album on this list is dogshit F tier status.
2 out of 4 of us put it in S-tier 😅
