Bare witnessing to the suffering of others is a powerful concept. I appreciate his explanation of equanimity. Sitting in the moment of the stuff of life. Yes Devin love the fact that you don't want folks to get caught up in the deep terminology of things make things accessible to oneself.
This was such a full-hearted episode. It's my first time listening to Devin's teachings. It was so refreshing and insightful. Tatra Maja TaTa. I've been using it and it's a game-changer. Grounded. Pause. Reflect. This is the present moment. LOVED it!! THANK YOU SO much Devin.
Remain with the felt sense of groundlessness that may arise in the body when facing the present situation. In the present situation stay with the groundlessness and it many variations without retreating to the 'safe' territory of conceptualization, i.e., nesting in the head with a mainly numbed felt sense of the body." Paraphrase of C. Trungpa (died around 1986-7).
Well, he wasn’t talking politics. He was just pointing out that we in the US are currently living in a political environment that can be stressful. I think that’s true, regardless of political party. And is true in many countries, right now. I know I have to meditate my butt off just to keep my equanimity. 😅
There was zero mention of any political bias. All he did was mention that there is anxiety and tension during an election. Which is always the case. The country naturally becomes a bit more intense with political ads, and all else going on.

Bare witness
I loved the way he explains equanimity, he said something like being able to stand in the middle of it all without being push or pull.

Really enjoyed this one. This was my intro to Devin and I could relate to so much of what he said.

Enjoyable and helpful, thankyou both.
I listen to Devin talks on the dharmassed app (Right now is like this) and the Hindrances in human form.

All the obnoxious ads. I really enjoy Dan Harris but not TH-cam.
Dan please keep politics out of these conversations, out of these talks ~ thank you and "May you live your life with Ease"
