I've been rubbing this deck the last few weeks and it's pretty consistent. Even when it's not you can still depend on a mid game eggy to bail you out or at least stall.
Oh man i really want to try this one out now, with Greninja like someone mentioned in your chat at the start of the video / showcase. That sounds like fun!
I've been playing this deck over the last couple of days and I think it might be my favourite. Good early aggression, lots of meaningful decisions regarding energy usage, and an awesome ability that allows it to compete with the big three EX decks. One of the best showcases for Pocket.
So if you have regular Exeggutor I'd start playing this right away. I actually prefer 2 regular and 1 EX over Jeff's list as you're likely to lose your front liner to one of the big hitters anyway and giving a single prize is better than two.
I've had success against enemies with high turn decks with victreebel + arbok. Arbok can stomp early too. You basically control whoever you're fighting the whole time. Often enemies put a tank and don't give it energy expecting me to kill but it buys time for vic to come out. Then when its out, u put vic out, switch their ex pokemon in, then arbok to stop them retreating and finish off 2 points :)
I'm using a similar version of this, with 1x venomoth as my plant Weezing and two caterpies so I can find my victreebell asap. I've been having a good time with it!
Yeah, I've been playing this deck for awhile. Highly underrated. I like to run one Giovanni for that extra 10 damage, been seeing a decent amount of the Dragons deck
Ive been messing with this one and haven't had much luck with it. Granted I fight a lot of Fire decks. But I seem to have problems curving out to victreebell . Maybe it's just bad luck.
I've been running this from roughly the start! I have potions instead of base Exeggutor tho I love getting opponents into a checkmate where no matter what they do I win lol
Made a very similar deck to dick around with and as I would drag basics to the bench to destroy I was super surprised at how busted it could feel. Only have 2 Executor evolves so I don't have the 3rd for redundancy.
You sometimes mention the need for more than 4 basics to increase probability to hit your basics. Is it more acceptable in a deck like this where we have the eggs that are powerful, low energy pokemon? Or is this also considered "greedy"?
This deck slaps or whips..which ever you prefer. I’m wondering though how it doesn’t against say Arcanine or Zard ramp. I’ve yet to face those decks on “ladder”
Having played this deck I feel like the victreebel takes too long to come online. The ability isn’t able to yoink the evolved pokemon and there’s some redundancy if your draws don’t curve perfectly
I'm using a blitzkrieg version of this one. I have venomoth as my early plant Weezing, so I can put some energies on my bellsprout. And I have two caterpies so I can get my vic asap and digest the basic 50-60 life basics hehe, hella fun!
Fossils have had a lot of iterations that work slightly differently, I think there was a time they gave no prizes when knocked out but I'm pretty sure it got changed.
Ive been running the exact same list for a couple weeks now. Glad to see someone else showing it some love
Whoa, I didn't realize Victreebel lets its owner choose the target! That makes it way better. Will need to mess around with this card soon.
Loving the Pocket videos Jeff.
Everything about your videos is eye & ear candy.
Great presentation.

Great video Jeff! Been following you off and on since Kaledesh was in standard. Great having someone in the pocket world with such great analysis!

We'll definitely have a Gren+Bell highlight up at some point. Felt sweet!

I really wanna pull exeggcutor ex, looks super fun to play

built this a week ago just because I thought it was a fun deck. nice showcase. would like to see a red card analysis video soon

I wonder if you can use a liligant variant for people who don't have Exeggutor EX
This deck looks fun. I will try this if i got victreebell and another egg ex

Oh, here I go commenting before seeing the entire video. You mention this at 9:05 🤡

Shhhh I've been having so much fun with this deck people make so many mistakes against victreebel
The times when you think you might be cooked and the opponent puts a
This deck does look cool af, I’d need a second egg ex tho 😔
Should we add each other for when trades are available? I was really lucky and got like 6 eggs EX, i would gladly trade you one
Does sabrina and fragrance trap stack? Just wanted to know because we can only retreat once right? Dunno if this counts as a retreat per se
Neither effect counts as a retreat but there is no reason to play Sabrina if you're going to Fragrance Trap.
@86chaz86 for toxicity reasons hehe

Funny I made this exact deck but with only one Egg EX. I was thinking hmm this seems kinda strong
That's my baby
Also, fossils don't give points in the original tcg, right?

More like Victorybell
Why a non ex?
You just want to hit your stage one on turn two as often as possible.
