The neo geo pocket color had so much potential. I miss it. I'd love a neo geo pocket color themed emulator handheld. We recently got a game gear themed one. Only a matter of time.
I think this is real. Like the concept for the official version. I've seen company use fanart for placeholders as such. So them using an ambernic style handheld as inspiration makes total sense. They get green lit, remove extra buttons and right analog, and add premium neogeo buttons and tadaa. A sexy neogeo handheld. That is buy and immediately regret😂 😂😂
I unfortunately dont see this doing well especially if they will be competing against those Handheld Emulation systems. Because you get EVERY SINGLE NeoGeo games unlike this which only gets a few and then some. I mean you get CPS1-3 so every capcom arcade and fighting games, Every Mame arcade games, N64, Snes, nes, genesis etc. I mean heck you get NeoGeo pocket and Dreamcast. And if you dont have the games. You can always get the rom and add it to the SD card. If SNK wants this to do well. They should make more than just a retro system. SNK should make this so it will have brand new exclusive games for this. Because again, for the same price of those Handheld Emulation systems. You get more compared to this SNK handheld unfortunately.
I don’t mind another one of these cheap consoles from SNK. I bought their original mini and the arcade pro stick. What does bother me, is the repetitive line up of games. It’s always the same old, same old. I get it. Neogeo is so easy to emulate. But you can’t keep selling all these fancy toys, if the content is the same. They don’t even bother to license other Neogeo games they don’t own like Waku Waku 7 or Breakers. Heck, they don’t even wanna try to emulate their pocket color games. Or include something spicier like their Atomiswave lineup. It’s the saaaaaame games. And you can only depend on KOF 98 and Metal Slug for so long. I’ll probably buy this when it’s discounted on Amazon for 30 bucks or something. But im kinda tired of snk and único always making these toys and not spicing up the game line up.

They always gave us 40 but never 80. C'mon SNK we need a plug and play whether consoles or handhelds that includes more games. Also how bout instead of just only NeoGeo games, include some of your older and newer SNK games that are not NeoGeo, games like Aero Fighter 1, Ikari Warriors, and Psycho Soldiers or games like Metal Slug 6, Samurai Shodown VI, The King of Fighters XI, KOF NeoWave, and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum. SNK is like Sega, while Sega can't let go of the Sega Genesis library, SNK can't let go of the NeoGeo library, at this point it's getting old. We need more variety than just those same library.
Fully agree this needs micro switches, lose the 2nd analogue stick and slap on some artwork or theming to make it look like a neo geo. As it is I think its a complete flop. Thanks for the video as alwy
They need to make a true neo geo aes mini, I would actually buy that. I have 0 interest in a low budget handheld. It has all of the extra buttons because this device is made to run emulators that need those buttons. This handheld is not made specifically for neo geo games or those buttons wouldn't be there.

The word that comes to my mind seeing this is GENERIC af. I love SNK but I don't need another console to emulate games tbh. Second stick makes no sense because 1gb ram ain't give you a lot of options to run games. If this is real and actually looks like a neo geo pocket probably I'll buy one just for collection but right now I'm far from being excited about this "new" console

They should put the discontinued snk mobile games on this. I would buy it if a offline version of kof all stars gets released. That game was a lot of fun. Never paid anything always felt like winning ;)

His craft plays all titles and other consoles as well, with the arcade joystick to feel the good ol’ times. There’s only one game that won’t run: KOF 2001 bootleg but otherwise, an enjoyable and treasured piece. Due to popular demand, the guy builds it for others willing to pay for his time and parts. I bought one, been playing since September 2024 and enjoying it to this present day.
