you shouldn't disable your firewall just add a firewall rule saying that this application can accept connection from port 7777 or if on a vps enable port 7777 on your security list!
Hello , i opened the server and followed every step however when my friends try to join the server on mobile they get the "connection timeout" message .
This worked great for me, thanks! However, once I got the server running, the game ran at like 1/2 speed. I was just testing it by myself, so there was only one player, so I don’t know why it would be doing that. Any ideas?
i followed your directions now i dont have internet coming through my ethernet to my PC. Must use wifi any ideas? Edit: I fixed it. If anyone has a similar problem. I deleted the DHCP Reservation for the device in my advanced settings that was giving me issues

Hey Spore_EU! The issue that you are describing is actually one that's been floating around for years, and still no one really seems to know what is up with it. It's not exclusive to this hosting method, and the fixes that people have reported are kind of all over the place, working for some people, and not working for others. Most people seem to believe it has something to do with too much data near a player's intended spawn location (generally too many chests near world spawn). Others say that it was fine once they tried to use another character, once verifying the integrity of their game files, once breaking all beds in the world, and some said that none of that worked for them. I'm sorry that I can't offer a clear answer on this one, as I've never experienced this issue myself, but I put links to some articles below with potential fixes other users have identified; try running through some of them to see if they work out for you. Hi Isyraq! Sorry to hear that, I haven't had anyone run into this issue before so I regrettably don't really know how much I can help. What I will say though is to also look out for "port mapping" as some routers use this term instead of port forwarding (especially in Eurpoe and Asia) as they are interchangeable. Hello Paul! You cannot presently join servers using this method on mobile, although I suspect soon after all versions of Terraria are in sync, mobile users will be able to join servers hosted using this method.

does this method work if the person trying to connect is on the same wifi as me?
If you're on the same wifi you can just do local multiplayer and skip the need for tshock entirely

Hello Paul! You cannot presently join servers using this method on mobile, although I suspect soon after all versions of Terraria are in sync, mobile users will be able to join servers hosted using this method.
