The result is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever- a lovely tribute to Boseman, but not without some Marvel-ness to poke fun at!
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever does raise some questions. Like how do you actually pronounce NAMOR? How is this guy getting in and out of Wakanda so easily? Why would they go fight the ocean people on their home turf? Is everybody Iron Man now?

I love how none of T'Challa's teammates and friends on the Avengers showed up to his funeral, wouldn't want to have to pay the actors for them to show up.
At least Bucky or Banner, right??
You could easily imagine that it was a nationstate memorial and day of mourning, so outsiders would be graciously unwelcome
He never even talked to them in Infinity War, aside from the prank Rhodey pulled on Banner, so I think it's understandable they don't even care about poor T'Challa.
@UCkn_x_8JEU66K99KbiPnDkA the United States isn't trying to steal their resources though are they? Hence why they went to look in the ocean for other sources of Vibranium, to avoid that very confrontation. Some of the world is also understandably a bit upset that Wakanda changed back from its policy of openness and sharing that T'Challa started.
I mean, yeah, but they also might've had their own ceremony elsewhere. Wakanda is fairly secretive and a state funeral seems like a very traditional event. They might not have wanted any outsiders there. Also, was T'Challa actually that close with any of the Avengers? The only one I was actually expecting might show up was Bucky, since he lived in Wakanda for so long, but T'Challa never really had the same emotional ties to the Avengers the way the others did.
I love that in Riri's dorm they say "fine we'll leave you to fight Namor with your space heater" and then that's exactly how they fight Namor in the third act

Riri was actually a good part of the movie. Except the CG for her armor looked like crap, and all the side stories in the movie for other Disney projects were kind of unnecessary

To be fair most movies are so bad, dumb, or poorly written enough that it wouldn't take much AT ALL to COMPLETELY assassinate them and Marvel movies have ALWAYS been a LITTLE silly even back when they were making much better stuff than they have been lately...so basically its like shooting fish in a barrel for anyone, notes or not

In the movie she synthesized the same herb that made the (Talokans) aka "Atlanteans" invulnerable.. So it makes sense because they also got impaled and healed from it..

@@FalconPaladin if I’m not mistaken, when she removes the spear it sounds as if nano parts on the suit move because I’m pretty sure I heard the sound they make when the helmet appears. Most likely this was the suit kinda patching the wound temporarily. Also, based on the first movie it can be inferred that the heart shaped herb gives the person a healing factor as tchalla heals from his wounds sustained in the challenge rather quick.
It's the fact that she drags herself off the spear.
Takes a few faltering steps.
Then immediately does a full acrobatic flip to land in front of Namor instead of walking around him.

Just saw the movie earlier tonight and when she got impaled but was back to fighting 30 seconds later, my first thought was, "That's gotta be the 'super-easy, barely an inconvenience' scene for this movie." lol
I wanna like this, but it's sitting exactly at "69". Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
I let that one slide because thanks to Wakanda's vaguely defined capabilities, it's easy to come up with some science-y mumbo jumbo about healing nanites in Shuri's suit that buy her time to get further medical assistance. Why not, Tony Stark had that years ago.

I’m so glad Ryan brought up the fact Shuri was fine after being impaled, everyone has armored suits now, they fought Namor on their home turf, and all was forgiven despite the Queen being murdered LOL
And he touched on how abrupt the ending was, really felt like the movie was missing a third act
Movies are all about protagonists murdering (or at least not caring about the murders of) hundreds/thousands of faceless people and then not killing the person/people who caused all of the trouble. I despise that trope. It's why I stopped watching a popular show recently, it was just too effing stupid.

I like how Namor previously had enough sense to recharcge himself in the water for 10 seconds, but not after being caught, dried out partially and crashlanding inside a plane. Makes TOTAL freaking sense.
Namor not jumping into the water when it is 20m away max is TIGHT! Namor being able to stab through a vibranium suit with a spear even though T’Challa and Killmonger couldn’t do it to each other is TIGHT! Surviving the nearly guaranteed organ death of half of your vital organs with an impalement wound is TIGHT! None of Namor’s army caring where their leader was taken is TIGHT! You get the drift… the whole final battle was TIGHT!

This was a solid one. I was waiting for a line that never came though. "So Shuri can't synthesize the flower and so T'Challa dies, and then they give him a heartfelt sendoff. Later Shuri becomes the Black Panther by synthesizing the flower." "But wait I thought she couldn't do that." "I'm going to need you to get allllll the way off my back about that sir."

I dunno, but the way I understood it is that T'Challa kind of made his situation hidden from them. Coz I remember at the mid-credits scene, Nakia said something like she and T'Challa were preparing the latter's inevitable demise in relation to how they're gonna raise Toussaint, which clearly implies that T'Challa knows too that he's gonna die. He probably didn't say anything until everything's too late, that's why.
@@terrorazeing That doesn't really answer the question. If it was way too late to do anything about it then why would Shuri even bother in the first place? Freezing him would at least give her some more time. Hell, they could use it to their advantage in the script. Shuri has to freeze T'Challa, the entire movie happens and when she finally figures out how to synthesize the cure she gives it to him and he returns, only now played by a different actor, which they can either justify or not. That way the character can continue existing and Disney doesn't have to take advantage of Boseman's death for profit.

This is the first time watching one of these and not seeing him talk about something that I thought he would definitely talk about. The fact that the sea people couldn't die in the fight with Okoye. But when Nakia came to rescue Shuri, she easily killed one of them. "But, I thought these people couldn't die" "I'm gonna need you to get all the way off my back about these people not dying. That was the first part of the movie, but now that it serves a purpose to the plot, they can die". Otherwise, spot on as always. I am not sure if this series has ruined movie watching for me, or made it even better, or a combination of both. But, I can say that I immediately check this channel after any new popular movie I watch.
Tbh I think the reason okoye couldn’t kill them is because she was only using her spear, compared to Nakia who used the sonic wave blast thingy.

I brought my friend and his wife to watch this with me and it was their first Marvel movie ever. I was so embarrassed by the end of it, I was ashamed to talk to them again in months.
As soon as I saw Shuri shrug off a severe abdominal wound, my first thought was "Oh I can't wait to hear Ryan's take on this."
Pretty sure, she was groining in pain at that scene. Also she had taken the hearshaped herb. Also Tony stark got stabbed and he survived.

I like the relationship these two have, like, a wholesome brother/best friend kind of thing. They share ideas freely, don't have much judgment even in the face of horrible insights into the psyche of the others, and mostly just lift each other up. Just a good, quality job friend thing going on there. It's nice.

My son was just watching oddballs and Ryan did the voice of a salesman on the episode he was watching. I wasn't sure until the character said wow wow wow wow. Wow. Then I had to look it up. Props to him for branching out, excellent voice acting skills. Didn't seem to hard for him, barely an inconvenience.
I just rewatched the episode and I can't believe I didn't see it on my first viewing. The constant "Wow, wow, wow." and "Sir" should've given it away. I can't unhear it now!

I checked out at infinity war. Ant man and the wasp, captain marvel, and end game are all awful movies. End game is just a couple hours of fan tribute with nothing of substantial value. So bad.
This movie’s original script was different. It was supposed to be about T’Challa recovering from endgame, but it got changed to Shuri recovering from her brother’s death.
I don't know how you have time to watch the movie, write an script, record it, and edit it so quickly and maintaining your usual humor quality.
It's marvel dross, they're all the same they've already done half the work for him by making the film he probably just sits there with a checklist and ticks them off as he goes by this point.
There's also a team of people that help him write it. He gets to be the one to act it out

The spear was also being driven by the force of someone who’s as strong as the Hulk… it’s not exactly comparable.
They COULD have fixed this by using this movie to introduce antarctic vibranium, which is like an ANTI metal, so a spear of THAT could actually get through normal vibranium.
Unfortunately the creators of this movie don't read comics and also don't know how to write.

Writer: So the cyclone picks up the whole house and the neighbours and even miss gulch.
Porducer: The cyclone picked up miss gulch but dorothy was initially out of range?

Writer: And because of the cyclone the blinds hit Dorothy in the head.
Producer: Oh no!
Writer: And the goes into a deep sleep.

Writer: And Dorothy sees Miss Gulch turn into a witch.

Writer: And her house has completely crushed someone wearing shoes.
Producer: Oh no, how did the men on the rowboat get under the house?
Writer: No these are ruby slippers.
Producer: Dorothy was colour-blind and their legs were in a rowboat. You don't know. Don't judge.
Writer: I can confirm sir that this dead person in the wicked witch.
Producer: What happened to the potentially queer men in the row boat?
Writer: Unclear, but if queer, they won't let them die in this script now dear.
Producer: Right. So there's a wicked witch?
Writer: There's a wicked witch. Who is dead. And there's a bunch of tiny people called munchkins and a pretty good witch who travels by bubble.

Writer: Its a typo. So anyway, there's another evil witch -
Producer: Oh, two witches. twice the witchiness. Oh wait, no, the first one died and this is miss gulch. its a regular amount of witchiness. Please continue.
Writer: So the good witch makes the dead lady's shoes appear on dorothys feet.

Writer: Oh its not that terrifying sir. But the legs do shrivel back into the house.
Producer: Why are you doing this.
Writer: and then the good witch tells the bad witch to go away. she has no power here. and that if she doesn't, someone may drop a house on HER.
Producer: Who? A second dorothy? Wait, did Glinda create the cyclone? She's threatening an evil witch, what has the evil witch done exactly? She just wants her shoes back.
Writer: She tried to destroy Dorothy's dog sir...
Producer: You know I'm starting to think Miss Gulch is the hero of this entire story. This glinda is up to something.
Writer: But ... but toto is in danger.
Producer: You know what, I think miss gulch is actually good deep down. Who says her name is even miss gulch. It could be Elphiba.
Writer: Sir, I do, miss gulch is a mean lady who kills dogs and now wants dorothy's shoes.
Producer: Yeah but prove she's evil. Show don't tell.
Writer: Okay uh ... if you want me to SHOW that miss gulch is evil and glinda is good, uh ... Glinda is pretty and Miss Gulch is ugly.
Producer: Oh you're right, she IS evil. Glinda has nothing but good intentions, I don't know what came over me.
Writer: The point is that Miss Gulch can't get the shoes unless Dorothy gives them to her.

Writer: This one certainly does. She doesn't even make it across the road. But the scarecrow is really afraid of it.
Producer: Oh, I see, things are really heating up between the witch and the scarecrow?

Producer: Yeah. yeah. I'm sensing sexual tension between them. Are they secretly together?

Producer: I dunno, seemed like the, something just ... just felt like spinoff potential, thats all.
Writer: There's no hint of that whatsoever.

Writer: Dorothy makes more friends and gets to the emerald city.
Producer: So... the witch doesn't do anything?
Writer: Well she ... rubs her balls and flowers make dorothy go to sleep.

Producer: That the witch just put there?
Writer: Unclear. But then glinda makes it snow and dorothy wakes up.

Writer: Okay, anyway, Dorothy has a fun time in Oz, but then the witch intervenes again.
Producer: Oh no. What does she do?
Writer: She writes in the sky!
Producer: And ... this scares dorothy?
Writer: No she's fine. But the whole of oz FREAKS OUT and runs to the wizard, who tells them to go home.
Producer: How does anyone accept that?
Writer: He's in disguise.
Producer: Oh.
Writer: Yeah, but Dorothy CAN'T go home, and starts to cry.
Producer: Oh no.
