I think there is a strong case to re-roll iron hard skin on a random for AV8+ and under. It is a skill you can't use. Our league even allows a re-roll of Strong Arm on a Chaos Chosen Ogre as they can't take anyone with Right Stuff without inducements.
I totally agree with this, because GW did do a FAQ that if a player with the No-Hands trait randomly gets a skill that involves picking up, or throwing the ball, that they can re-roll the skill.
Gretchen at her current price would be fine IMO if she was M9 and AV11. Keep her with basically no combat abilities but damn near no player could get away from her, making her serve her actual purpose of griefing the ball carrier
Poor Barik Farblast. Finally makes sense but is he useful? I bought him straight away as the model is soooooo cool. None of the Dwarf’s Star Player are fantastic but I still plan to give each of them a fighting chance! Thanks Ben 😊
Would love it if they combined Hail Mary with dump off so you can launch the ball in your opponents turn. Best case it is in their backfield, worst case you launch it randomly round your backfield. Seems realistic if you have a minotaur about to blitz you.
I love the Barik Farblast mini. Never been a dwarf player or fan but I think he looks so cool but they dropped the ball(npi) with his skills. More specifically his special. I’m no macro number crunching guy by any means, but would it have really made him too OP to allow the skill for every of his activations? Since he’s a special weapon he gets sent off so it seems like his use would be so limited why not just allow his special be used as much as he wants? I guess with only one drive to use him you may only be able to use it once anyway I suppose. I do agree with giving him a bit better passing stats as well. Maybe giving him a special that allowed him even better control of a deep bomb pass than what was presented… maybe even giving the old school HMP rule without the -3 for it? Idk
I think someone needs to go through the dungeonbowl book and fix it. Fix the contradicting tacklezone images, actually use the line of sight rule for passing, etc.
Define what the End Zone is. Seriously, the book never actually states its only the checkered squares. Read literally just stepping on the tile at all is a TD.
They could make mostly useless skills like Iron Hard Skin and Defensive more interesting by having some players start with them. They wouldn't bump the cost of the players, or perhaps they could even drop their price if you swap out a better skill. For the first example, you could give Iron Hard Skin to Saurus. And maybe you could swap out Block on Dwarf linemen for Defensive, and drop their price a bit. I'm not advocating either of them though, I'm just tossing out ideas.
@@ThanatoselNyx Yeah that actually works better. It gives stunty teams a chance against Dwarves, but also makes the Dwarves themselves that much harder to shift.
Is there a reason Barik still has secret weapon? It's not as if his skills are terribly useful. Let's attack this differently; Scrap Wildly inaccurate. It, as a rule, sucks. It exists to make the game less fun. Its existence broke Hail Mary. Remove WI and suddenly HMP is fine. And Barik suddenly becomes useful again. Sort of.
And in the case of IHS i just say reroll it hif you have AV8+ or less, the FAQ just needs to reword the "Can not have" to "Can not use" or "is of no use"
Correct, and so Ben calculated the odds for a Hail Mary wrong as 1 is a Fumble, 2-4 is Wildly Inaccurate and 5-6 is Inaccurate. This was the first gameplay option they killed and with this FAQ they killed Throw Teammate as Cagebreaking tactic in my opinion. 😞
Time for a bonehead faq? :D At least when playing in non-official games you can play as you like. Also be careful what you wish for, GW looking at blood bowl more closely could end up a never ending +/- 1 spam of rules and counter-rules.
I trust bonehead more than GW. I'll be ignoring that throw team mate rule -change-, not clarification. I'll also oust anyone from my league who suggests to use it.
@@DellamorteDellamore0 while I disagree with the rule, I do think the FAQ backs up what is actually written in the rule book. It is just everyone ignored it as it was worse.
Wildly inaccurate is quiet clear to me... If you roll a Nat 1 its a fumble, if you roll a 2 or higher and it is modified to a 1 or lower its wildly inaccurate. A Nat 1 cannot be modified in anyway from my recollection. So if you roll a 2 in 1 tackle zone then its wildly inaccurate. Am I wrong?
A wildly inaccurate pass does not cause a TO unless it isn't caught just like a accurate pass, so it is reasonable to get lucky, throw the ball and accidentally be caught by a different player on your team and thus not causing a TO.

If you want to avoid getting skills like this, don't chose random. That's the risk you take.

Easy upgrades for Iron Hard Skin:
Ignores Claw and Ignores Mighty Blow
Ignores Claw and Increase Armor by 1
Ignores Claw and gives Thick Skull.
In my league we do Ignores Claw and Dirty Player. Since most Mutations do more than one thing.

No price change as they are already undercosted.

Maybe because that was absolutely not necessary😢

GW is really the worst when it comes to making rules. Luckily BB is a great game and they havent ruined it.
Too bad GW R&D are too busy ruining stunties and making bash the only viable teams to actually answer these much needed clarifications.
