@@stuartvoigt I wish man! I’ve been looking into these kinda bikes for a while just gotta save up the money to get one! When I do though I’m totally down to ride!
In Colorado, it sounds like the E Ride would be considered a motorcycle. So either you buy an OHV permit and haul it to dirt bike trails or you make it street legal, buy insurance, buy plates and get a motorcycle drivers license. These are interesting tho - I would love to test ride one.
I don’t have one yet. Mainly because I live in Canada and they don’t ship here as of yet. But I’m thinking about making a trip to NY (Buffalo) and picking one up. One point to note, it might be worth considering bringing a booster/charging pack for cars to plug the charger into so that way if you get stuck somewhere you can charge it. Not sure how effective it would be but you can get some small ones that work pretty well!
Looks dope! Dono if i missed it in the video or not but I assume you're doing this run with no Regen as I see u pressing the brakes a lot! I would love to know 1. how much further this run would be if you were to use Regen setting Two for the entire run and use the regen to brake and brakes only when u Have to, this should save ware on brakes and also increase range. 2. How strong is the regen braking in comparison to normal brakes setting one and two and front brake vs rear break vs both breaks. would be an interesting test I have not seen online! Nice vid bud, keep it up!
Cool. Been there many times. I live in N. Hendo and my office is in Asheville across from Pritchard Park. I saw you rolling around out there and I was like "Huh... man, that place looks familiar..." Did you start out near Haw Creek?
@@stuartvoigt its very easy there are some videos you can find for surron just be aware on the eride there is a little bolt on the side facing the handlebars holding the sensor in place you need to lose that boat before unscrew the sensor
It seems like some sort of battery save mode kicked in after 30%, I personally would have did the entire trip in eco but you were pushing it, I heard any bike going over 40mph starts that power range trade off. Not really impressed with the low battery but you were going fast as hell. Definitely uphill battling.
Oh yeah-it gets very power limited at 30%. You’re right, it would have lasted much longer in Eco mode. I like to see how long it lasts while having fun with it 😆 I was also going up hill the whole first half.
I am not sure how to tell the difference for sure, but I’ve heard that the updated model does not have turbo mode. On mine, which is the old model, it has a turbo button by the horn which switches it into turbo mode on the screen and it lasts for about 5 seconds. If yours doesn’t do this, then it’s likely the new model. Hope that helps!
I know this was a month ago but for anyone in the future wondering the 2.0 version has a different number plate on the front and has a headlight switch on the handlebar
everyone msg chi battery systems and ebmx ....i have several times .........we need a 76 Ah battery....... chi said they are working on it later this year
Curious to see what battery specs the SR model will have as they said it'll have a bigger frame and bigger umpf. its already 72 volts now so I guess moving up to a 50? maybe 60 Ah? out of the box? sheesh cant wait for it to drop and a few models to get produced before I order mine :P
Awesome bike dude looks like so much fun!! I just got interested in these electric bikes and id buy one for sure except cops would probably take it on me, im Wisconsin and pretty sure not street legal here which sucks!!! Where is this and ever have any problems with the police? I see alot of videos of people riding them all over the place, not sure how they don't get them confiscated? Edit- kick ass bike and love the scenery!!👍
Thanks for the comment! I’ve ridden dirt bikes and MTB my whole life, and this bike is the best combo between the two! It’s so fast but smaller and lighter than a dirt bike so it makes it that much more capable and fun. Can’t recommend enough. I haven’t had any trouble with anyone, I kind of split my riding between on road and sidewalks, but I haven’t been riding much on road anyway or in busy areas. Best of luck 🤞
I can see many deaths and injuries due to the high speed and lack of safety and dont forget people driving cars that are easily distracted recipe for disaster be safe your life is worth more than a few thrills in life
I guess this just depends on the person i love my eride pro its perfect for me but i have a life cant be out for ever anyway even if i wanted to for a kid i feel like this would suck but u dont drive the e.ride pro as a . motorcycle cuz its not its a dirt bike for me just get a motorcycle if that what u want
I was delivering out of the sprinter at 1:00:22. I was stoked to see you ripping! Don’t see many pro ss around town!
😆 no way! That’s crazy that you found the video. Do you ride?

I can see that 😂

It’s so fun! That’d be sweet if you could register it in CO

That’s a good idea! You won’t regret getting the bike!
That's a big charger to carry around though.
Do they deliver to Canada now?

Thanks so much! Yes, that would be very interesting to know. I’m not sure I have the patience to conduct that test though!
👍 i think eco mode is ideal after you star going under eco mode speed limit 👀
W asheville, i love that place.
Grew up here, love it!

Nice! Yes, exactly!
beautiful route.
Yes it was! Glad to get the chance to ride it.
Would like to see you start at 50% and do max regen on an all downhill run. Thanks for the great video btw.
Of course! Yes, that would be a cool test!
Mid 50s jacket and gloves that is beach weather here in NH lol😂
Hell yea but from mass lol
Haha! Mid 50s going 50 mph is chilly to me!

What was the charge time for the battery from below 20% to 99%?
About 2 hours!

please contact chi and EBMX to grease the wheels

What kind of range do you think you could get out of the chi battery?
Getting one for Christmas is it worth it?
I think so! It’s a blast
how many hours and mins
About an hour going full throttle from 100% to 30% battery

They are considered bicycles and I don’t think bicycles are illegal in Wisconsin. Eventually cities may start making laws but not yet!!
@@jeremy8829 that’s cool. I know in some places anything without pedals is considered a motorcycle..

It’s more than a few hours if you aren’t going all out the whole time. And then you don’t have to maintain it much either
Now do the same route with the regen on to see the difference.
Would be a good test
Yeah not impressed with the battery dips on these bikes, talaria boys did a range test also and they lose all power at like 8%
Hmm, yeah, for what I use mine for the battery is fine 🤷♂️
