@@EB-jf5oi To be honest I have lived in Six developed countries and had option of staying back in all of them. But always have come back to India for a couple of years to recharge. I guess it is a question of what you want from life. Though truth be told I cannot stand most of India's metros, only two cities I have found comfortable in are Hyderabad and Kochi. But I love the villages and 3rd tier cities in India

I've never been abroad. Always in India. I've always wondered if the disciplined people of Japan maintaining silence in metros and traffic signals would be really eery. Your comment suggests so. I think losing the spontaneity in the name of discipline and being "civil" does take its toll over a period of time.

Most foreigners don't understand that "indian thing" doesn't exist....it might be a feature of few states..... but you can't generalise..... geography, history, culture, language, food changes after few kms........for a example....you can't say india is very hot to a kashmiri ,ladakhi, sikkmi, arunachli, uttrakhandi or himachli.......you can't say India is very cold to a Rajasthani, gujarati, up, Bihar,....... type states......you can't say india is very dry to meghalaya and north-eastern states......you can't say Indians speak Hindi,a country which has 22 official languages and 100's of unofficial languages...... similarly India is different in culture, traditions, rituals....it depends on which part of India you arr talking about............ India is more like a continent....😊

People can kiss each other cheeks playfully in India. Even friends.
It’s not a form of greeting but something that is acceptable in same age and gender too.

The people are gentle 🤔 Survival of the fittest in a Traumatized , over populated country has meant everyone is forced to fight for themselves otherwise they get trampled on. And there might not be the western ego but there is the eastern ego (adaptations of living in survival states of overwhelm /shutdown). I am an indian who has travelled and lived in both the west and the east. There is so much i love about india (i see beauty in everyday things).....especially street dogs and children. I wish people were more embodied, present and open instead i see people who are brainwashed, living in their heads and moving through life in auto pilot mode. Don't kill the messenger.
