San Diego Fishing for HUGE Lobster

‪@SlowChuck‬ and I went on an overnight fishing trip to Catalina Island so we could drop some hoop nets in hopes of catching some California Spiny Lobster. We got there early and did some Calico bass fishing around the island before heading in to Avalon for a beer. At sundown, we set the traps and started pulling. We had an issue with our bait and lost most of it, so we were limited to only a few traps. Luckily we were able to catch the biggest lobster I've seen in person - a 5 pounder! Thankfully we were at least able to score two legal lobster, and saw a small shark and an octopus just to round things off. Hope you enjoy the video!

You nailed it! 5lb for the big one, but the smaller one was probably closer to 1.5 or 2lb
