That's kind of strange for me to see tripoints (where three countries meet) as something "unique". I live in Belgium, close to three tripoints: this one Belgium-Germany-Netherlands (an hour drive north), Belgium-France-Luxembourg (an hour drive south), and only 30 kms to one of our favorites Sunday walk places which is the tripoint Belgium-Germany-Luxembourg. And I'm only a 20-minute drive away to the border with Luxembourg (where I refuel my car as fuel is way cheaper in Luxembourg). Switching countries is nothing special for us , especially within the border-free EU, but I can understand it's special for others.

I was there in 1985 and boy has it changed. The pillar at the exact intersection of all 3 countries does look the same though, but that is about it!
