I can't decide which one is better. This one or "Genius of Love". This is my personal favorite song from Tom Tom Club. Very hypnotic and that "boom boom sh boom boom" part is an ear worm. It won't go away.
Keep it amongst yourselves but these are the real McCoy🧐 Saw them live on a Monday night in Camden and couldn’t find a wingy typical but they are the doggies live and Tina’s sister gave me the look.🤩made my night. Atsababy!!!😍 Close to that mother freaking bone ad infinitum 😎😵💫🤤
I'm here for some... Boom boom chi boom boom ❤ Boom boom chi boom boom ❤ Boom boom chi boom boom ❤ Boom boom chi boom boom ❤ Love that part of the song it's my favorite. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Grrrr, ate my comment, let me try again. In the late 1980's, I gave myself chemical hepatitis by taking too much niacin; I had long since weaned myself off the flush. I didn't think I could hurt myself by taking megavitamins, but was I ever wrong about that. Thank God I saw someone who knew that could happen. I have never been so sick in my life; I could not even sit up in a chair. I spent weeks in my bed and was out of work for a month and a half, watching different stuff on TV. I remember seeing a then recent movie based on the true story "I Was a Fugitive from a Chain Gang". And I remember seeing this mesmerizing music video; I recently acquired the album that included this song Boom Boom Chi Boom Boom (a lyric from this song), and it was brought back to me how much comfort this video gave me when I was at such a low ebb.
"Boom Boom Chi Boom Boom" would be their 3rd LP ;-) The 2nd LP, "Close To The Bone" is very good, but very hard to find since it was never officially released on CD...
Takes me back to 1 9 8 8 - saw this on MTV ! Some other things I also remember liking at this time were: depeche mode- strange love, New order- true faith, Bryan ferry- kiss and tell ...
This reminds me of the time i almost drowned and got saved by a dolphin, and as i was getting saved i saw this huge jellyfish, about 3-4ft. So the dolphin got under me and swam me right up to the beach. So i got my stuff, ran by this man, and went home to tell my sister, whom was in the closet talking to starfish and that was more topical. Now i know what happen if thay jellyfish got to me first. Lol. Thank you jesus.
@@nikkiyoung5298 when i was 7 i went swimming at da beach alone and while it was sunny at da beach a storm was coming in, but i went out anyway. i got out there in the current and couldnt get in. so i drowned, and i was laying there on the bottom of the ocean and i thought that was it, im going to heavan. next thing i know and there is a huge jellyfish the size of an exercise ball, and i thought i was on a rollercoaster, but a dolphin was under me pushing me to the surface, just like the video of the guy rising to the surface. i got to thetop and had a pyschic conversation w the dolphin and he told me i could ride him, so i grabbed his fin and it swam me right up to the beach. i think if i had died, i could be some kind of ocean demon, so i thank jesus i am saved and if i die i pray i go to heavan. however, top secret so dont tell anyone.

Artists and their videos back in the 80's were more creative, lots of imagination, so many different sounds.
They still are.
She is serving some serious jellyfish realness!!!
Love this song!

A brilliant song. Can anyone reassure me that I’m not crazy in thinking this has a strong similarity to “Somebody Else’s Dream” by Phil Lynott?
This reminds me of Deine Lakaien
How about remastering and expanding this album with 12” mixes? Or how about a 12” collection?
My gawd,,I believe this song may be perfect jump off a bridge material..
Beavis always hated this, lol. Classic shit
"What do you mean we have no budget for a video?"
x boom, boom, boom x
No one loved the 80s more than I did (do), but this was too kitschy even for me... 😏
Honey boom
I came here because I'm an old new-romantic, post-punk, new-waver.
Me too!

not at all a fan of this kind of music and i don't really like tina weymouth for a plethora of reasons but damn..... this is cool as hell
And other than a few songs , they sucked then & now.
Video is definitely better than the music. One hit wonders.
