I'm so glad I saw this posted on Reddit! I'm planning on replaying the games soon, and this is the perfect way to get hype for them. That spinning kick you pulled off to get the last hit on Fire Leo? Viewtiful! I hope I can pull of something even half as cool in my own playthrough. Your summary of Joe's character made me realize why I love this game so much despite it not being my usual RPG or platformer jam. (Well, it's kind of a platformer, at least.) Joe is such a genuine character. Other superhero media hasn't hit me in quite the same way because it's so often focused on being cool and sometimes edgy. But Joe? Joe's just here to have a good time, pulling off sick moves, taunting bosses, and not being afraid to let his excitement show. If I were in his situation (and maybe a decade or two younger), I'd be doing the same thing!

I played Viewtiful Joe on my PS2 many years ago, and I remember getting increasingly frustrated with it to the point that I wasn't having fun at all by the end of it, despite playing pretty much other every character action game. I appreciate the game more after seeing your video. If anything though, this reminded me of how good God Hand is, bc it has a similar learning curve. I wanna replay God Hand now lol

Man, I remember when i first got this game years ago. I made the mistake of running my first play through on Adult difficulty and got my ass handed to me lol; I think I spent like 5 hours trying to beat Fire Leo. But the feeling of finally reaching the credits was incredible! Great video as always man!
