Thanks for sharing this video..... we made all the components to bring the hay into the cuber and then exit, also the hay vans...... Nice to see this on TH-cam...... Wayne Kirby
Hello, My family and I used to make cubes the same way here in the central valley at the California Alfalfa Cube Co, no longer in business, but back in the day we produced over 100,000 tons per year or more. Thanks for the video your cubes look great! I do miss making those horse biscuits.
What did you guys add to the hay to make it keep its form? I'm asking simply because I have a pet bunny and I wanna know how to make these hay bricks lol
Wow, i've been looking at many ideas to run at the back of combines to capture chaff/weed seeds and be easier to handle for use in feeding or in energy production. Any more info would be welcome.
Thanks for your video. Are there any differences between cubing and pelleting processes and equipment? (except moisture percentages and temp. I mean sequence of processes)
What a great video, thank you for making and posting it! I'm just curious how many HP is each cube mill, and how many tons an hour can each one produce? Thanks again for the great video!
ask them for their broker's number. if they load containers, why not send one out Matson lines from U.S.'s west coast...? Their web address is above. here's their shipping page: www.jamesfarminc.com/orders--shipping. Did they decline shipping to HI?
Bentonite I think he said: sodium bentonite clay. often called 'green sand'. I think that is what he meant. It's probably a binder and ok for their digestion too, not 100% sure of the effects long term on cattle. People take it sometimes, and foundries use it for making molds for sand casting. It sticks together well when pressed. I hope that helps.
My grandfather had a John Deere hay cuber business in southwest Arizona in the early 70s.
God bless him, its pleasent to hear about a gentelman, who might not be in thiis world now

Amazing job!
I haven't seen these up close. Looks like they might go well with 1/16th scale farm toys.

The plant I work at has 300hp motors which produce 4 tons per hour
We make two sizes 1 1/4 and 7/8 inches

Can someone tell me what they add in the mixing system? According to the cc, it's "Bend knight", can someone tell me what he really said. Thanks.
Bentonite clay
@@erikih706 Thank you
Years later and Taiwan is our biggest export here in Alberta.
How many kg pellet are made/One tone alfalfa silage ?..
rough numbers: .4545454545 kg/ton, minus water loss of a few percent.
Any reason why cubes would come out burning out of cooler?
It's the moisture. The friction process raises the temperature to more than 100 degrees.
Is this for feed?
yes. animal feed.
What's added to it besides the water
