FINALLY. these have been out for a good month, and I have not seen anyone reviewing these. Scored mine for $100, but they are definitely in my top 5 due to performance and sound quality. The specs are insane and the features are all so cool, esp that dongle.
Both the Amazon shop and JLab's website had them priced at $99 for like 2 days just after release. I think they were trying to get more people to pick them up, and it totally worked. I was already impressed with the specs, which don't always translate into performance, but I was blown away by the level of detail and features these buds had. The LDAC codec is already the best, besides lossless, and the dongle basically means you have unlimited multi points connection without the pairing process. The build quality is great too, and they feel like the Technics az60 in terms of the case size, just slightly chunkier. Overall, these are jack of all trades, and great at everything type of earbuds. I would def recommend if you're looking to own just one bud for an extended period of time. It's great at everything.
Wow, I can't lie I've always been very curious to see what a company like JLAB could do with a higher MSRP. Very weird that no one is talking about them.
It’s cause they aren’t loud enough in ur ears even on max the sound quality this dude is talking about is no existent he noise cancelling is trash the max volume is the main problem u cant hear nun
I picked these up on their release date, and I was immediately very surprised by their build quality. The case has serious heft to it, along with an awesome lid that has zero slop. The earbuds themselves are relatively small compared to the competition and also have excellent build quality.
Which do you like more? Opera or this? I was kind of disappointed in the opera (with only presets), but lowering the treble they actually sound good. Not anywhere close to the 3ANC
@Hijynx87 to be honest it's about a tie but if I had to choose only one it would be the Jlab for sure. A little more comfortable to me which means I can wear them longer.
Thanks for reviewing these! I've had them for a couple of weeks now (Amazon somehow already had them down to $100 for a couple of days) and I've loved them so far. The USB-C dongle has been a bit of a game changer for me; I use mostly Apple products, so that's kept me with the AirPods Pro to avoid hassles with switching bluetooth connections between devices, but now with this dongle I've only paired the earbuds to my iPhone through bluetooth and just use the dongle to connect to my other devices, and it completely alleviates the headache of bluetooth switching. I'm also glad that you mentioned the Knowles Preferred sound profile; I had completely overlooked this, assuming it was Jlab's usual Balanced profile that sits between their JLab Signature and Bass Boost options for their other headphones, so I hadn't even clicked on it since Balanced is always my least favorite profile. But now that I'm listening to the Knowles Preffered profile, it's definitely becoming my favorite of the preset options. I'm a big fan of Jlab earbuds - I've got several sets of Go Air Pop in different colors simply because of their cheap price (especially when on sale) - and I'm glad to see how well they can deliver in the premium range.
Thx for finally doing a review on these! Upon first look, they appear to be Soundpeats Engine 4 on steroids. I knew they would be great bc the company has teased us for years with great low budget options. I may give these a go this year as they are definitely on my wish list. Thec for sharing!
Wow. With these, and the new Headphones coming out, looks like Jlab is stepping up with the big boys. I just actually bought a set, of earbuds last week. So sadly Im not in the market for these.
I just got these in today and honestly the anc for me is really freaking good. I'd say they are better than my elite 10s. Also the sound with the knowles preferred on is unmatched in my opinion. I have tried a lot of earbuds and these sound the best. The bass is absolutely perfect.
@@beliveinurselfthat's tough! I'll say I do prefer the fit on the 10s but for sound I think these do a bit better. Having ldac and using the knowles preferred setting is amazing. Everything sounds so clear and the bass has great punch.
Jlab releasing a high-end earbud reminded me much of how Tozo did it with their Golden X1 release. Granted, Jlab kills Tozo in the build quality department, but Tozo definitely won if I judge them by their sound quality alone. The ANC is a toss-up given that neither one is capable of earth-shattering noise cancellation, but they're both FAR from bad. Overall I could flip a coin and be happy either way.
Would you say that the anc is at least on par with the soundcore space a40? Bc those are decent enough for me but I really want some better sound as well..I love the soundcore but really want to try these. Thanks.
You are first! Finally somebody review this device. I do agree with you on this Epic: outstanding! Got mine for $ 100.00 at launch from Jlab! I still rock my 3ANC though as it’s more punchy and almost no volume limit while the detailed sound still shines. Call quality isn’t as good as you mentioned but surely better than 3 ANC. Didn’t use the dongle so perhaps it gets even better with it. The quality feel is on the whole package for sure. Anyway at the stiff and competitive $200, I’m not sure Epic is a true winner as it would have been around $150.
I have the ANC 3. How do the epic lab compare? Worth upgrading to the epic lab? Are the epic lab louder? I'm thinking with ldac, or ldac and that dongle, they might be?😅 12:46
@@mrraps101 Epic is not an upgrade in fact the only existing upgrade to 3 ANC is PerL Pro at $350.00! LDAC might be fine for Android but no reviews that I’ve seen make it game changer and surely not enough to sway the balance to Epic or any other devices vs 3 ANC
Deciding between these and baseus ma10s. Biggest things in looking for is not moving or slipping out of my ear and good call quality. The jlab can be found for 99 so I'm not factoring price. Which would you recommend?
Oct 2024- picked up a brand new pair of Epics for $100 new on Amazon. Holy S*** these have become my go-to buds for music. The dual drivers are just so dynamic and crisp. I also have Jabra Elite 10s and these have replaced that pair except for travel
So Knowles preferred is a slight sub bass boost and a focal boost, I'm surprised they didn't boost the 16k range as it's know to make stuff sound more open like a larger sound stage/airy.
After the Pixel Buds Pro, this is the SECOND Opus enabled earphones on the market. So it support SBC(Meh), LC³, LDAC(license) and OPUS via the Dongle. 4 codecs is a steal, even if it doesnt have AAC Apple the dongle would beb perfect with the iPhone 15 and USB-C iPad.
At launch around Thanksgiving 23 Jlab had an offer via AMZ prime at $100.00! Since nobody reviewed them I purchased to include them in my own review against everything avail at the time from Earfun Free 3ANC to Bose Ultra (obviously everything else in between). Epic Edition certainly can compete with any of them yet at $200.00 nothing beats Between 3ANC period! The only device challenging Between 3 ANC is Denon PERl ANC but cost $350.00. No brainer then at $200.00 Between 3ANC any day.
I need a replacement for my 3ANC (gotta fix or return mine unfortunately). Are these good enough or should I get another pair of 3ANC? I already have app2 and Sony xm3, the 3ANC is perfect for movies and my favorite tws for metal/rock and it competes with wired iems imo. They are like the tws version of the aful performer 5 with a bit punchier midbass.
Can you just use 1 earbud? And while using 1 earbud will the ANC still work? What is the purpose of that Dongle being plugged into your phone? Is it needed to use them for Android phone with Bluetooth?? Thanks!
Why would anyone expect $200 earbuds' noise cancellation to equal 300 earbuds? It would be better to compare to earbuds in the same price range. Nice review, as always!

So I know you really like the Opera5 and Status Between3 for sound quality and I know those have 2 Knowles drivers. These Jlabs have 1 so it must be the way these companies tune the earbuds. Is that what the difference is? Awesome review on these thank you. 💯👍🇺🇸
I love these. I am on my second pair (washed my first) But does anyone have an easy way to get them out of the case? I have fingernails (not long) and I really struggle to get them out of the case

I like foam tips on my IEMs. But for TWS I prefer silicon since I need to pop them in and out quickly.
Nice to see JLab going premium. They slay in the under $100 price point, but I'm sure these are worth the extra cash
When i put these on i felt the audio was crystal clear and 3d almost i was impressed

Are this as good as the Opera 5? In clarity, bass and sound quality. Also features?
if you go to other tech reviewer channels you seen a lot of comments asking them to check these out
They definitely should. I feel like these are going to be slept on by reviewers and these are no joke
