Wow!! The colors of the drop blended together so perfectly, I can't even see the annatto layer in there. Really gorgeous work, Holly! The teardrop is so smooth and beautiful too.
Oh my, Holly! You just create the most amazing designs! The teardrops actually look kind of iridescent, almost like an abalone shell! So very well done!
Such perfect teardrops with such a difficult technique. I'm sure it took endless patience, but you make it look so easy! Love your vids. Thank you for sharing!
I saw this video a hundred times.... Such an elegant and a very good combination of colours with a nice tear drop shape....i have seen many other videos on you tube but none of them are as beautiful and meticulous a yours.... Love your work so much
Just LOVELY!!! Perfect colors and teardrop shape - I have such an appreciation for your result, having done this challenge 3 times before I got anything decent. ;) And I appreciate your putting the "skip ahead" notes in your TH-cam video! ;)
Beautifully done. I'd like to try but looks like it takes a very steady hand! Very nicely set to music too. Your videos have inspired many of my own creations. Thank you!
Wow, your tear drop came out perfect I think, and I love the color variations in it, it appears almost opalescent. You are a very talented soaper! And I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing them.
+Deborah Watson Oh, thank you so much, Deborah! I'm really quite surprised. There were SO many beautiful, colorful teardrops entered this month. I'm just so honored that mine actually won.
I've been watching as many of these entries as I can find. very difficult technique and I've gotta say you totally nailed it, great job! I was born with a tear drop shaped birthmark under my eye. I'm fairly new to soaping, would love to give this a try but not too confident I could do it. well done, this is fantabulous! x
+Cassie Bird Thank you so much! In a few weeks, the tutorial we used for this challenge should be available in Amy Warden's online store (Great Cakes Soapworks in the "For Soapmakers" section). She goes into a lot of detail and provides some great tips to help with making the teardrop. It will probably be a few weeks before it's listed, but here's the link in case you're interested... www.greatcakessoapworks.com/categories/soapmaking-technique-tutorials Thank you again for watching and commenting! :)
Holly, I like you more than your soaps for giving the recipes as well as teaching us how to create designs! Love you! You have made a great change in my business! I follow your recipes and I am doing very well! You are I fact my guru! Thank you!
Holly this is mesmerizing to watch, with stunning results. I will never reach this level of craftmanship, but thankfully I can watch your videos, so grateful to be here to view. I will check out all that you have done, so satisfying to watch. Appreciate you showing us.
+Kapia Mera Soap Co (Holly) Congratulation on your win, Holly!!! I m very happy for you))) And also I would like to thank you for making such wonderful videos, I sharedon FB this one as they are very well done and so helpful not only for beginners. Enjoy today s feeling))) Hope we will see your work next month too))
+Penny Simmons Thanks so much, Penny! My first attempt was such an epic fail that I really was shocked this one turned out. I don't think I have the patience to ever do it again though. haha
This is an awesome technique. I’ve got the perfect fragrance oil to try this on. Hope I can pull it off, this is a bit more advanced then I’m at right now I think. But nothing ventured, nothing gained right? Good work, I enjoy watching all your ingenious techniques.
You are extremely clever with this pouring, I bet it’s not as easy as you make it look. Stunning defined tear drop. And to think this video is 4 years ago
It's beautiful! I like the colors very much. After having watched your video 10 times, I eventually decided to try myself. I made the soap 2 days ago and I'll need to wait one extra day before cutting (it's still pretty soft) and checking if it worked....
thank you for answering Holly! It kind of worked, but nothing compared to yours ;-) if you are curious you can take a look at my blog robsrobscreations.blogspot.fr/
I really appreciate that you use natural colorants in this soap. So many people think that our skin is impervious to particulate but studies from occupational exposures show that this is not the case. Going with natural dyes is important.
wow very nice technical but alos the colors! They are natural and the result is very nice. Could yo please give more details about the purple color. How much alkanet roots did you use to obtain this beautiful color? Same with annatto... Thanks for sharing this video
