    I have arthritis in both knees from decades of martial arts exercises just like these! They're a great workout, I had super strong legs. In hindsight it's a bit too much knee impact, especially when knees go past your toes on any jump landing.

      your knees are bad because lack of exercise on low impact surfaces while you eat on high content surfaces....

      Do wall sit static exercises. Upgrade to single leg wall sits. This will build strength without injury due to movement. Once strength returns to your muscles and tendon you've ill see improvement

      Doing exercises where you balance on one leg (like the airplane) is great for creating knee sturdiness. Hip and ankle mobility help prevent knee injuries, and the subtle balancing activates many muscles and connective tissue all around the knee, helping brace it better for sports.
