Chase is a race is kind of annoying because the slower car can jump, and if you’re on a 2 step you’ll more than likely jump forward if you’re not careful coming off of it. So it’s easier for the slower cars to cheat it a little bit if they know they’re slower.
As much as I like these videos, cost comparison would be very interesting.

@@dylangross9742 wrong. You could pick one of those level GTR’s from Chicago motor cars for $100k. Plus that’s a 2009 I picked mine up with more goodies and 400lbs lighter for $95k fully built drivetrain! And that car doesn’t need a chute. It’s a 2014 and had less than 4000 miles hand built by David Bursher himself. Lol now it will go for 30% more but you’re way off.

@@jay_wright he didn't really jump the first race.. the car creeped forward then stopped before he launched. If there was a tree it wouldn't have been a red light since he would only be in the deep stage

I’m not a technical car guy, but can someone explain what this means to me? (Sorry for the ignorance.)
@@vinnyvidivici The compression ratio is the difference of volume between the piston being at the very bottom, and at the very top of the stroke, how much space that volume is compressed into. 9:1 is about the limit for pump gas with iron heads, depending on a few things like chamber shape, bore size, temperature, etc..
16:1 is quite high and requires either the most expensive race gasoline, or an alcohol fuel like ethanol or methanol. Ethanol is vodka, same as whiskey but its not aged in a barrel. You can run that as fuel if its between 160 and 200 proof. Methanol is in window washer fluid, itis also a very potent race fuel, but its very toxic and a little bit can kill you or make you go blind at the very least. Gasoline will always kill you if you drink some/enough of it.
Most gasoline cars stay under 11:1 meaning the volume differences between the top and the bottom is 11 times smaller at the top than the entire volume.
I drive around with either 11.5:1 or 13;1 with iron heads, running E85 and E100, ethanol/vodka/moonshine on the street in my 65 GTO. I can change it by swapping the cylinder heads, the 13:1 set has a 64cc chamber, the 11.5:1 has a 71cc chamber. larger chamber = lower compression.
I am working on a video explaining all of that right now.. :) Also doing a series on producing ethanol fuel and making vehicles run on it. Been doing that since 2007, its fun and very cheap power to be had. Boosted engines love ethanol fuel, they make ludicrous power on it.

Darren didn't spray (I mean, use cylinders 7 & 6...) on the last race, because he saw she jumped like mad. Re-race, and he would've squeezed the juice box for a different outcome. Regardless, Darren is one of my favorite human beings now.

Listen to the first two launches of him. First one he shifted at very high rpms and stood his ground, second one he short shifted and lost a chunk of power that's why she crept on at the end.

The R35's torque split is completely variable 0:100 if ATTESSA off max of 50:50 .... the wider rear tire is because weight + squat = grip . The front tire doesn't get that weight shift for mechanical grip so it doesn't need to be as wide.

@@tangodrizzle that too, but back in the day, there were dynos that told different hp numbers. For example, this guy that was working on my dad's 75 caprice has a 67 vette with over 700hp. He said he took it to one dyno, ran 800hp, the other dyno he took it to ran 900-1000hp. Kinda hard to know what power you're actually putting down.
@@mr.89chevy13 same thing happens today. Different brands use different methods of applying load and different algorithms to calclulate hp plus opperators have choices to correct numbers.

Don't need too, the second race is all the proof we need to see for who has the fastest car, the camaro cut the light and by the time the GTR left I would say it was the same gap she made when she jumped. And the GTR on the second race even though it was behind after the start by a car length or so reeled the camaro in out the back and threw the laundry in his face. That too me is enough to say if there was a even launch between the two the camaro might get out by half a car in the first 330ft but after that the GTR will be way out front. GTR all day long
