Thanks for this. I have a similar setup to plumb on a couple tanks. Will be installing a vent - when FD drains the tank it could implode if air tight or if it's not being filled at the same time. 2" vent required for 2500 gallon tank. Really appreciate your video. Also your setup inside is incredible.
You're welcome! That's good to know about the vent. I thought about it, but it looked like there is one integrated into the lid on our tank but I'm not sure so will have to take a closer look. Thanks!
Hey, anyone you can recommend to install one of these on my 10 ac. property? I'm getting ready to construct a home, and they won't let me build it unless one of these fire water tank is installed. I am in the Southern California area. Thanks

How much did the tank, install, and fire outlet cost you?
It's been a while so I don't quite remember but I think around $2000. We did the install so probably will be more to have someone else do it.

where did you get the fire hydrant valve and what model?
We got the valve from the local plumbing supplier that also supplied the tank. Sorry, I don't know what model but it's 2".
Where did purchase the shutoff float valve?
It's this one plus the linked ball and rod - www.grainger.com/product/KERICK-Float-Valve-with-Threaded-4DME4
