Thank the Lord it wasn't 6500 lbs...I woulda crapped myself

@@JoshtheRVNerd Yeah, that would be about 1.5K above GVWR!
I have a 2012 Acura MDX with 5000 lbs max towing. Is this ok for that?
I thought I was the only person to make Manfred Mann references when looking at bright lights. I'm starting to feel these Wolf Pups are really what I'm looking for in a week/weekend trailer.
Glad too see they finally added a window on the door. Doesn't look odd anymore.
Absolutely love it. It's clean stately simple and well laid out
Glad you like it!
"Hooch Dispenser" for internal healing...😂..and "shower beers" to help you with your external cleaning..this trailor is just plain healthy 🤓
This is now my favorite trailer!
Awesome! Glad we were able to help you discover it!
At 6'6" I appreciate the tip about removing the headboard for more length. Hadn't thought about that, thanks!
Glad to help!
6575 lbs was mis-spoke, but as always, another fantastic, very informative and entertaining video. Keep up the great work!

I added this comment on the regular version video as well. What I would do is add a 3in mattress topper to the front bed. That does several things for you. 1. It will be more comfortable. 2. It will make the bed even with the headboard. Then you can just put your pillow on the headboard area. This gives you the space of a true queen without having to remove the headboard or buy a new mattress
I love simple, smart ideas like this!!
@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you! My curse is that whenever I look at anything, my first thought is how I can change/improve it. This makes all of my hobbies very expensive 😂😂. I really appreciate this channel and all of the info. I am always checking my notifications for new videos.
@@jeffisonify That's how things get better man!
You hear me point out things I'd like to see potentially altered as well!
I knew you had southern roots. My family's from the hills outside of Knoxville.
A lot of Tennessee and Kentucky roots. I grow a natural goatee, scraggle patchy neck beard, and mullet. I could be a posterchild for moonshine.
Haylett RV lol I was raised in Alabama and living in Kentucky. Sounds like we're just really confused.
*WOW* !! *LOVE ALL of the changes to this Black Lable Wolf Pup* !! *My FAV NEW item is the window in the door* !! *This bunkhouse is NEXT level beautiful* !! #HaylettRV
Did you notice how you don't see it from the outside? It's a single sheet covering. REALLY cool!
@@JoshtheRVNerd No, just now noticed this. FAB NEW door!!!
Your video randomly popped up in my feed and I’m hooked. Im watching as many of your videos as I can. I think of all the trailers this one checks off all my boxes. Only downside is the dining area is a bit tight, but I’d take the smaller size vs a slide. I have been reading that the quality is a bit of an issue. Have you guys ran into any issues?
First of all, welcome aboard!
Regarding your question - any RV can have challenges. Cherokee is among the most popular brands out there and has been for years. Doesn’t happen by consistently putting out problem children 😉
I’m glad compressor fridges have become more popular.
The only thing I would add is a star gazing window above the queen bed. It would great if it were able to open it too. Extra air flow and extra light.
Uncle Josh's alcohol advice! 👍
We are scouring through all your videos, and thank you so much for the edu-tainment!!!
We are finding bunks may be the way we want to go. What are the weight capacities on the bunks?
Can’t thank you enough for these awesome videos! Do you know what the bunk weight capacities are?
TY for sharing something kind! Jayco is SUPER consistent on bunk weights. Most other brands vary a bit by floor plan and don't give us something like a chart with ratings. So I need to ask you to reach out to our team and allow them to hard-verify for you. I don't want to guess and get it wrong
6500#s??? Love the window in the door. Shower beer holder is fantastic.

Crank it up! Pump pump the jams lol. My favorite wolf pup. I need some bad medicine . I agree, drinking alcohol is good for the wounds on the inside 👍 🍻
lol
Such a cute pup.

Forest river just getting it done with the black label. I also have a question, in the wildwoods and the Salem’s, is there the optional gas electric fridge? I’m pretty sure that there is but I just want to make sure.
6cu ft, yes.
Hey Josh, When a manufacturer posts the trailer's length, is that for the box only? Is there any way to verify the "Overall" length (Hitch to the rear bumper or ladder)?
When I post lengths it's the mfg's TIP TO TAIL measurement available at the time of posting. In return for the fair opportunity to earn your business our team is always happy to tape measure something
Measure twice
Buy once! :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd Hi Josh,
I've reached out to your website for a quote on a trailer. I was then contacted by Bill McFadden, aka Wild Bill.
I've requested a quote (3 Times) on the 2021 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104S in white with the following upgrades:
The larger 15,000 BTU AC unit (which you guys always order it with)
Electric Stabilizer (not on their website, but models for sale in CA has it, and installed by Rockwood)
Extra Maxxair Ventilation Van and Vent Cover
And I have not gotten a direct response from Bill with a quote for the trailer. I have only gotten a quote for a third party delivery.
Besides the quote, I expressed my concern with the overall length as our driveway does not allow a large trailer. I've mentioned to Bill that my wife and I went to an RV show, and when we measured the 2140S, it was a little longer (few inches) from the ladder to hitch.
So I asked Bill word for word.
"Is there any way you or Josh can personally verify it by measuring it? Again, I'm concerned about the "overall length," bumper to hitch. "
No Reply, No Quote. I still believe in Haylett RV and would even consider doing business. However, is it possible to deal directly with you?
I am from California, and clear communication for a purchase that is considered significant for my wife and me is crucial. If you would like to provide me with your email address, we can communicate via email.
I look forward to hearing from you, and as you always say, "Happy Camping."
Peter
First and foremost thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm not in sales myself and my workload right now is not allowing me to take on any clients currently. Case and point it's going on 11:30pm local time and I'm trying to chip away at 648 messages on youtube and have well over a thousand emails waiting for me after only three days away from the office.
However, I have flagged this thread to hold your response & would ask if you'd be willing to leave your contact information so that I may have a sales manager follow up with this to ensure your request is fulfilled.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Hi Josh,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I would gladly provide my contact information. However, will it be visible to the public? Does the "Highlighted Reply" mean it's a private conversation between us?
Once again, thank you for the quick reply, and I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great weekend.
@@PDragon21 That Highlighted thing is just something youtube does. Allegedly it indicates when we choose to respond to a comment from my notifications, but it seems to be rather hit and miss.
I have the thread set to hold your responses -- even the last one -- until I hit the Go-Ahead button. In a case like this I ask someone to drop their contact info so I can get it directed thru the proper management channels, but simply remove the comment once done rather than publish it. If it would bring you some peace of mind, then perhaps drop a reply to this that simply says "test" or something like that and refresh your page or view it from another window in private browsing mode. You'll see it will not be present.
Stupid question. Does the door separate into a screen door?
Yep! Normal 2pc RV Door + Screen Door combo
Can the exterior gas grill connect be used for propane converted portable generators?
Yeah, I was singing the songs. Flashback to real and good music. 😁😁
Nice very nice... I kinda lean towards the 2021 E Pro 16bh 👌
Two different animals I think, but Geo/E-Pro is stellar and I can't fault anyone for liking them!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Josh how are you. You are the best RV presenter. You don't have to sell, you make us drool and buy. You are honest, objective, you care for your customers and very funny... have a good one 👍
two things I don't like about these wolf Pups which might be all Forest Rivers, (I have the 2021 Wolf Pup 16fq) is the dinette table pattern. Why do they not use either the cabinet or kitchen countertop instead of giving us another wood tone (not consistent with the trailer vs all of Cherokees). The second is where is the medicine cabinet? As always, great video, Josh.
Yeah it is interesting how they split up the counter decors..
I think they make their own med cabs
Someone who actually knows the correct lyrics to Blinded by the Light 👍🤣
misheard lyrics are the best lyrics.
Any review available comparing the Black Label to the Limited Package. Most of the options are already in the Limited, with the exception of the fiberglass skin, frameless windows, etc., but would love to see a full list of differences. Can't find this on Forest River's website. Thanks for the great (informative and entertaining) videos! Keep up the good work!
"Limited" is just the standard build.
Black label is just a layer on top -- I try to point out those enhanced features thru the video but here are the things you're seeking
* Fiberglass Skin laminated to a dual-layered offset lauan backer (Note: Doesn't change to an aluminum framed laminated trailer -- only changes the skin)
* Tinted Frameless Windows
* Power Jack
* Upgraded Exterior "Security" Lighting
* Marker Lights Change (just in shape)
* Aluminum Wheels (Though you're seeing some aluminum wheels on some limiteds due to shortages currently)
* Solid Surface Counters
* Lighter dinette fabric
* XL Bath Fan
* Hard shell LP Cover
I don't believe i've missed anything there. Hope that helps!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks! This is very helpful!
Great video! Is there a way to divide the queen bed from the rest? And does the table seat 4 comfortably?
You may be able to add a curtain, but it's a simple little camper with an open design to make it look/feel less cramped inside.
The dinette is not going to be idea for 4 adults. 2 adults and 2 kids is going to be possible, but tight even then.
Something like this a little larger might fit the bill for you th-cam.com/video/SUo79zSKP2k/w-d-xo.html
Is there a 12v outlet near the kitchen counter for a coffee pot? Did not see one on the video. Thanks!
12v coffee pot? Haven't seen one of those. Interesting!
There are household outlets ABOVE the counter under the overhead cabinet in the kitchen however
Josh is it 6500 pounds you mentioned or the 3877 on the info card. Nice looking trailer great video as usual.

No problem Josh as many videos as you do for the RV community it’s understandable.

@@james23p Appreciate that greatly. Super demanding time right now. It's after 11pm local time and I'm trying to chip away and get caught up on over 600 messages on youtube and well over a thousand emails. On top of all my normal camera works.
Can you provide a in depth video on the new entry door? Can you see in or out the full door? Is it glass? Is it the same door for the forest river family? Thanks
I'll provide more clarity as I can. Overwhelmed with work currently. I believe it's a high gloss fiberglass, but will clarify as I'm able in future walk-thrus. Won't likely make a video JUST for a door.
Every Forest River basically operates independently. Other members of the Cherokee-group may use something similar, but nearly no other brand is doing this right now (though I'm sure they will soon)
Great review!
Quick question - it’s called 16bhs, but it’s 21’ 5” long and does not have a slide?!?! What’s the logic behind this naming?!
16 = box length-ish
BH = bunkhouse
S = storage door
Josh, what is the GVWR on the black label? Does it keep the same GVWR as the standard at 3877? Only leaving 300# for cargo, or do they upgrade to allow a higher GVWR and cargo capacity. Thanks, love your channel.
Axle and GVWR do not change. That’s one of the only downsides to black label edition
@@JoshtheRVNerd that doesn’t leave much room for “stuff” on this little guy. Looks like we’ll have to stick to standard if we go for this model. Thanks for the reply.
Can I ask a stupid question? If you didn’t need the bunks,could they be removed so that space could be used for something else? For example a desk and chair. Or does the structure require the top bunk to be there?
*Not stupid at all!* Short answer: Yes, but not from the factory. That's something we can handle for you here pretty easily. Factory basically builds everything the same way every day. Even *not* including something is problematic for them.
Thank you for the video my Friend 💞
Thx for joining!
@@JoshtheRVNerd
: )💞 Have a Great day my Friend
Very nice little trailer. Do they make a 17JG black label?
All Wolf Pups can be built with the Black Label package. As can all Grey Wolf and Cherokee units with the exception of the "Grey Wolf Special Editions" which is a small selection of models purpose-built to maintain a specifically aggressive price point.
At the beginning, did you say it weighed 6570 lbs.?
CORRECTION: Weight is 3,575lbs in Black Label as listed at the 00:05 mark. Was moving fast and simply mis-spoke.
It looks like the water, cable, power and sewer connections are not in one organized location, but instead extend from the very front of the trailer to the very back, which is not ideal?
Normal on small campers. They lack the "dead space" to centralize everything typically as there are simply fewer nooks and crannies in which things can be hidden/mounted. It's a small camper thankfully so nothing is "really far" from hookups.
Very nice.
Josh,
Does this model have a walk on roof and is a ladder available for it? Thanks.
Walk on roof: Yes.
Ladder: No. With no factory allowances to add one aftermarket.
Weirdly common on single axle campers.
Josh, I’m assuming you meant the weight was 3575 not 6575? Does the black label have the same cargo capacity of 780lbs? So the GVWR would be around 4300-4400 lbs? Thanks!
*CORRECTION: Weight is 3,575lbs in Black Label as listed at the **00:05** mark. Was moving fast and simply mis-spoke*
Haylett RV thanks Josh. I was hoping that was the case. Otherwise the black label upgrades add a ton of weight... literally. And we wouldn’t be able to tow it. Appreciate the clarification!
That would make a great Bourbon dispenser!
Or Tennessee Whiskey or WV Moonshine ....
Can you tell me if the interior LED lights run off of 12 volt or 120 volts?
Lights are all 12v
@@JoshtheRVNerd your are the man uncle! Thank you so much.
They should have took the bunk area and extended to make the bathroom bigger and make more room for storage that's just my vision
This is more like it!
Do they offer this with a sofa in place of the dinette?
Not currently. I'm begging for MFGs to do exactly this as you're not the first (even tonight) to request it.
I'm trying to figure out where you are getting the 6,575lbs number from.

@@JoshtheRVNerd @Haylett RV you almost gave me a heart attack when I watched this video. Are you finding that there’s a benefit to Canadians coming down and buying from you, say from Toronto?
Historically we saw a lot of Canadian clients. Border restrictions have put the brakes to that for now though
Really depends on exchange rates from what I have seen
Question...does the weight of 3575 include water in the tanks?
Empty weight means the base RV only. Everything else is cargo that goes against your CCC
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thank you! What is the GVWR for the 16BHSBL?
@@ikkadanran925 3877lbs
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks! Just to confirm that I got the numbers right - 3575 would be base weight for the Black Label without water, battery and with empty propane. That leaves just 302 lbs for cargo, water (if dry camping), battery and full propane, right?
@@ikkadanran925 100% correct
What size hitch ball for this camper?
These single axles are sometimes 2” and sometimes 2 & 5/16”... and right now it’s after hours and I am drawing a blank. Our folks at 800-256-5196 are happy to verify in return for a fair shake at working with you of course!
What is the Door made of? Looks like glass.
I am working on getting clarity there. I think it's just a hi-gloss fiberglass skin on the door. I'm overwhelmed with things to do currently and trying to make a lot of ends meet. Will try to answer that in future videos as I can
🦕🦖 there everywhere I like grape jam.
One thing that really jumps out to me on this is I *really* wish manufacturers would stop using round sinks in the kitchen. That’s a major pain for washing certain dishes, and there’s absolutely no reason for it. Stick to rectangles, please.
You said 6,570lbs, but your graphic said said 3,877lbs. Which is correct? If stated 6,570 is correct, thats pretty scary for a single axle 16 ft bumper-pull!!
