I had a large ovarian cyst removed at 20 weeks pregnant and it had damaged my left ovary and fallopian tube so they were removed too. I am now 42 and during a ct scan for my CLL they detected another cyst on my left side. 18x15x11. I have had dull pain at this side and put it down to anxiety and tense muscles. Now this has to be removed and if they cannot save the ovary I will go into early menopause.
Hi Doc, i had my right side ovary removed in October 2024, now my left side ovary has a multifullar cyst measuring 35/36 mm. Im getting pain now and then. What can be done to save my ovary
dear Doctor i had a quite big chocolate cyst 8cm . i lost my ovary but thanks god i had my diagnose - it was parasite origin. fluke infection. . after surgery also appropriate medical treatment was required . thank you for this video and sharing your knowledge ❤
I suffer from left ovarian cyst and the tests from pathology said its a Benign mesothelial ovarian cyst. It has been getting bigger slowly over the past few years (6). What is the best treatment?? The obgyn in my country dont seem to give me clear answers.
Hi Dr, l have a cyst 1.8cm and gone through operation and my both ovaries removed but l,m still feeling pain & always bleeding whenever it's time for sex, ls it something to do with the cyst thing or what??
Hi dr. I got to know that i have multiloculated simple ovarian cyst of nearby 8 to 9cm and i have pain in left lower abdominal, and my gynac suggested to do laparoscopy. Do I really need to do surgery
I cannot give medical advice but often for a mass this size, and features, generally surgery would be recommended. I’m sure there are multiple factors taken into account that aren’t listed here. Also just because it’s the recommendation, doesn’t mean you have to proceed with that plan.
As i have symptoms so as per dr. Suggestion they told me because of that large cyst it might be twisted and that will block the blood flow in the overy…that’s why they suggested for laparoscopy… is 8cm size cyst will not devolve automatically?.. and what if we will not do the surgery it will affect the overy like infection and all?
I often don’t look at it as one hormone needs to be corrected. A lot of precise hormone signaling happens when the ovaries develop normal monthly cysts. So things such as stress, poor diet, sedentary could potentially throw off the balanced process. It’s why taking low dose hormone pills help prevent these cysts, it’s a consistent signal to suppress cyst development
Hello doctor.. I am 24 weeks pregnant.. I have cyst with 5.6 cm s now.. I diagnosed with a Left ovarian cyst in my starting of my pregnancy with 8.5cms. In these 6months it have reduced 3 cms.. What should i do.. Also can you please make a video of cysts in pregnancy.. Can i treat it after my delivery?
I have a cyst but also have a partial hysterectomy. I have both ovaries. I am currently 35. I had to have one at my last pregnancy at 30, inorder to stop the bleeding. But now I have a cyst and after biopsy it was filled with blood. I do not have symptoms that I have been able to tell. Buuut randomly I would have bleeding, more like spotting just one day. Which caused me to have a ultrasound and found the cyct. The plan is to remove it but not sure if my ovary will be removed. Nor am I suure whiich type of cyst it is.
@@newschoolobgyn yes, I forgot to mention a portion of it was left because taking it all would of caused more bleeding they said. But since I had the hysterectomy , I didnt have any spotting. Til about two years later.
Ok that helps. Decision for whether or not to have surgery for your ovarian cyst can be difficult but often depends on size and what type of cyst is expected. For example if there are no symptoms, or suspicion for cancer, can repeat an US in a few months.@@bittybabii08
Hi, Im diagnosed with mucinous cystadenoma. Cyst measuring 8cm in rhe left ovary and the doctor recommends removal of the ovary. I've tested for ca 125 which came normal. Is there an option to not remove the ovary? Can i simply remove the cyst?
Any of the benign cyst discussed in the video can have septations. It is one of the factors we look at when deciding what the best plan is. Long story short, I wouldn’t let this single detail have too much concern, but definitely warrants follow up with your doctor. Hope this helps.
Our thoughts are with you. Please talk with your GYN oncologist and emphasize your desire for fertility sparing options. If you want to make certain, get a second opinion from another oncology specialist. We unfortunately cannot give directed medical advice to people online. If I knew anyone in your area, I would help but unfortunately I do not.

Hi doctor... I have bilateral serous ovrian carcinoma... Doctor told me to remove both ovaries.. Is there any other treatment of it... Cuz im just 18 so i really don't want to remove them
Are you certain they said carcinoma? Usually we would only know this diagnosis because you had surgery already to diagnose it? We cannot diagnose ovarian cancer on imaging. I would seek a second opinion

Very interesting, feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I simply go’ogled the latest by Tilly Strankten and her Ovarian Cyst Guide and although it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish I’ve never felt so light and relaxed.

Thank you for the question! A cyst on the ovary shouldn’t cause vaginal bleeding. Did they leave your cervix during your hysterectomy?

Often a number of factors take into account if removal or not, but if it’s suspected benign, just removing the cyst should be an option to you

Hello Doctor
I have a left Ovarian cyst measuring 4.01
Can I get pregnant or is it's a cause to alarm
If it is a simple fluid filled cyst, which is most common, my worry would be very low! 😊
Hi Doctor, i have recently been diagnosed with PCOS which are on both the right and left ovaries as seen on ultrasound and are 1mm-4mm in size. I have been given antibiotics and hope they are gone because these cysts are causing my fertility issues
Usually pcos wouldn’t be treated with antibiotics that I am aware of. Often cysts seen like this are a result of pcos, not the cause.
@newschoolobgyn thanks Doc for your feedback. Do you have any recommendations for treatment?
What about paraovarian cyst
This often describes a cyst of the fallopian tube. Often benign and doesn’t require surgery if this is the diagnosis
Is chocolate cyst with a septae is a matter of concern?
A chocolate cyst is usually an endometrioma, so depends on size and symptoms. But should not be a concern as far as concerns for malignancy!
