You’re nuts! The number panel on the driver door is one of the absolutely best things on Ford vehicles.

Yes, when you don't want to carry your keys with you while swimming and stuff.

Door unlock on outside drivers door. I love it! Sometimes we would go skiing on a day trip in Colorado. You may substitute beach, hiking camping here. Don’t want to carry keys on the slopes. Put key in the glovebox lock the car and open with the code. I did it many times on Expeditions. Have a Lincoln now, hope it works the same.

Great review. I looked at the Nautilus last week (March 2021); the new model has a vertical tablet style infotainment screen and the shifter is a horizontal style button system (a lot nicer) similar to the Corsair.

I use the 'goofy' number pad. It's really useful if you try it out. How many other cars allow you to lock the car with the keys inside? 😀 It may still not sound so useful, but trust me it is.
A less than 2 year old baby locked her self with the keys while inside when the mom just got out to open the truck. They had to wait for the spare keys to reach. Meanwhile the cops and rescue team came threatening to break open the car to save the kid. It was peak summer here in Dubai.
Imagine if they had this number pad (in use). 😄🙏

What's that got to do with anything here, that can happen with ANY Vehicle!

I have an Edge with the embedded numbers in the driver door frame. Never had the feature before, but use it more than expected. it is great to use when kayaking or hiking - leave the key safely out of sight inside the vehicle, just punch in the code when you come back. Some people keep buying a Ford or Lincoln just for this feature.

Loved the review as always my friend. I agree the centre console not so good. Bit dated.

I frequently use the touch entry system in my Lincolns. Great feature.

    Part 2
Great review. Thanks for the info. On the pop up screen you mentioned Volvo. Is that the same type as on Audi? Theirs is a nightmare, A malfunction waiting to happen. I have had two, an A8L and A6. There won’t be a third. German engineers may be great but many times they answer a question that has not been asked.

Does the Auto Stop/Start work with only one push of a button on the Nautilus?
