Just called in to say thanks for posting all these Stockport videos. I lived there from 1966 to 1978 and came back to visit parents into the 80's. So I was there (just about) if memory serves for the closing of Tiviot Dale, the opening of Merseyway and the construction of the M60 through the bottom part of Heaton Norris. Amongst many other changes. 10 year old me would be amazed that 60 year old could be watching these video of SELNEC buses and the Mersey Tavern on his 60" TV in the living room of my house near San Francisco. My life has taken me a long way from our house in Heaton Chapel , Wellington Road North and Mile End School but I have really enjoyed these. Loving the Mike Oldfield soundtracks on some of them too. TVM

What a treat! I am surprised this town survived WWII....or did it get bombed and was re-built? No pics of the Argonaut crash. Would love to visit but it is so cold and dreary! I had the Tabular Bells album in the mid-70s. Hello from sunny and warm St Petersburg, Florida.

I have had a beer in the Greyhound, the Blossoms and quite a few others.Looks like most of the photos are from the 70's.
