At 4.20 we have (half hidden behind a road sign) the "Toggery". Clothes for the male in-crowd of the 60's. Owned by the Hollies & Toggery 5s manager they sold stuff bought by a lot of the Manchester groups. Moving on to 18.12 is the Manor Lounge, down stairs to see all the beat groups, 7/6 (old money) for a great Saturday night. Saw Wayne Fontana, The Mersey Squares, Them and loads of other groups. They where fantastic times.
There is an air raid shelter there, i knew about dodge hill ,chestergate and brinksway ,but i didnt know there was one there 🤔, do u have any more info by any chance?
going to have to dig out my 21inh flares and afghan coat and sit cross-legged on the shag pile rug and listen to tubular bells all over again.
