The forest was basically left defenceless at the start so i filled in with as little points i had left the Desantniki at 7:30 was all the units i had on the entire flank. as at the time i was feeling like being a air *** which didnt really work out with the amount of AA Vulcan brought. The bad deck explains alot from your part as i have no idea how you didnt just overrun the forest at that point. As for those bombers unbelievably fast impossible to intercept with Air even more so with the Roland 3s covering your airspace (felt like they never missed). And the forest makes AA weaker i had alot of Manpads behind my line but they never got a shot in. (i even started having ASF at the back to help spot but never got close) Honestly such an underrated bomber i dont see them that often but is that the div or the bomber. Watching the game from your POV is interesting as it shows me how some obscure sightlines helped you out so ill avoid those in the future. Plus even now i cussing every AA missile in that game. 40:53 was my bit of luck that game so i guess it does balance out.
That was a great battle. Truly a reservist deck. It's terrible set up makes this an uphill battle but you did so well against 2-4 players at times assaulting your position. I think you and grimguy really tied a lot of their forces down and inflicted far more losses than they should have to your cheap units. Not only that, but your side also actually capped a lot of points early game and really made a comeback easier for the rest of your team. Excellent battle. Also cool to see a breakthrough on the far right at the end there.
Neon63 here. You did a lot against me on that flank pulling me off of Vulcan at the times i was strong while you didnt trade great in the forest you did in terms of the overall picture there. Kept me off balance unable to really create a force suitable to attack. Although Vulcan under played it the bombing run at 28:50 was basically the end of my ability to attack thanks to you on the far side pulling half of my inf there another portion of my points had to go to manpads to deal with the bombers all the while Vulcan with attack moving cheap inf and hitting with 155mm arty. All the while i was also down the dregs of my deck hence the reliance on Helis.
23:25 And I was about to ask what were the other two options that the AMX-10 was the worst option :D well, I guess you settled this. What were the alternatives for the Roland?
That engagement at 13:20 is why pioneers suck :P They lose to all other CQC infantry. They really need their assault trait radius expanding. Its not that the reservist are bad, that happens to all satchel CQC against napalm CQC. If they were SAS Patrol the result would have been the same.
So, I found this other channel (Bandanner - I think it was) last night, not sure how old the video was, but it was a game featuring you vs Meddi-something... That was a rough game for you. Although, It was interesting to watch you lose so badly, no offense of course, just found it interesting, how come I never see this Meddi person in any of these games?
Which unit painted itself in new light in this deck for u? I think the bombers were pretty fast but I don’t know if it was luck that they didn’t got shot down.
I think the F-104 really shine in this battle. The speed really helps. Otherwise, everything was just meat waves lol. Roland and AMX-10RCs are always pretty decent so they don't count. I guess the fliegerfaust did surprisingly well, but they were spammed in numbers.
Gotta say I love the warno vids but not a fan of playing it over sd2. Warno lacks a lot of the mechanics over sd2 and warno seems more like constant chaos with a bit of organization where sd2 is opposite. It's much easier to use that rock, paper, scissors approach in sd2 where warno is more akin to meat grinder mode. Just haven't enjoyed the huge lack of control in that respect over sd2
You say that but its not like that SD2 is just an Artillery Simulator most of the time aswell. Its slower in pace compared to Warno, but that only makes itself noticeable by being able to watch my troops die by slower rounds. Like srsly thats my biggest problem and it wont go away. The constant Arty-Spam and the fact Artillery is not shit in SD2. SD2 has been a long time on my shelf dusting up because its just not fun all around...even tho I would love to love it. But aint happening.

There are some caveats to make it viable. Like maximum leader amount. When I was offered the Roland the other two options were leaders.

I actually really like the f104 bombers since they're so fast. They do pretty well if the enemy isn't fully stacked on AA near the target zone
