    How do you manage that delicate ribbon cable. Clearly you folded it back to fit inside the case. Did you put something between to prevent shorting? If so, what did you use?

  • @SimRacingAddict

    Any better than Nextion 4'3 ? Works out a little cheaper right? I paid 28 for mine Nextion plus 7 for converter.

    Great video as always, I enjoy your various projects. Can you tell me, is there a way to flip the image on the screen in Simhub, so you can mount it with the USB port on the bottom? Seems like it might add unwanted stress on the port?

      Thanks Andrew. Yes you can flip it 180, SimHub has a check box for this under the VoCore menu.

    Hey, sorry but I have a noob question. Do you upload the dashboard to the vocore itself, meaning that it will open the dashboard at launch (of simhub and a game) on its own, or do you have to launch it manually every time? Thanks in advance!

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The VoCore is basically a monitor, so SimHub sends the picture to it. SimHub will automatically run the same dashboard you've pre-selected when a game launches. And you can change the dashboard on the fly.

    Hi, I’ve just received my screen, but the ribbons on the back look different to yours. On the ribbon that has the mini USB connection, it continues up and actually extends above the screen with some sort of termination block. I’m worried about bending this back and damaging it, but I won’t be able to put it in the case if I don’t.

      @@SimRacingCorner Hi mate, thanks for replying. I ended up just carefully folding the ribbon back on itself back towards the middle of the screen so I could get the casing on. It’s either a new design, or they haven’t removed this ribbon, but from looking at your video, and even the VoCore site, it’s definitely not present. Anyway, thanks for your input and original video, it’s a great item for the money.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not directly, it's independent of the main monitor refresh rate. But you could say SimHub in general is using system resources, so technically SimHub running in the background will impact the max FPS in some measure. Nothing that you'll notice though unless your PC is a potato.

    Anyone know if the VoCore 5" model should work as a sim racing dashboard with SimHub and be able to display without much fuss or modifications to the existing downloadable dashes? The aspect ratio looks to be the same but the number of pixels is 480x854 versus 480x800 on all the other models they make. Would that lead to having empty black space on the sides of the display, on the left and right?
