My question is: Is it allowed to make kicks from existing samples? It is often said that it is stealing, and that you have to make every kick from scratch, But does this really have to be done every time, or are you allowed to be very creative with samples from others? and what do labels think of that? Because i got a lot of ideas, and projects without kicks unfortunately, because kick making is another level of producing, where i am not yet at the moment.
Great question. Making kicks from existing samples is a gray area but here's the deal: it's not outright "stealing" if you're using samples creatively and transforming them into something unique. In fact, most producers-including big names-start with layers or samples as a foundation for their kicks. The key is to make it your own. Labels? They care about the end product. If the kick sounds sick and fits the track, they’re not going to ask how you made it. What they don’t want is a copy-paste kick that’s instantly recognizable from someone else’s track. The more you tweak, process, and make it unique, the closer you are to owning that sound. At the end of the day, it’s about results, not just the process.
I just found you man and what an awesome videos! Gonna keep streaming ur content 🤗

What headphones are those ?
@@prodbyhostile beyerdynamic 990 pro
dt1770 or dt770
most likely 770, 1770 doesn't have such a line in the middle
by the way, take 250 ohms. they are better. but for them you need good audio interfaces or amplifiers
Right on thanks guys 🙏
