LT Wright GNS Scandi | Bushcraft Knife | Field Review

- Krik of Black Owl Outdoors takes a look at the GNS fixed blade knife by LT Wright Handcraft Knives. After LT saw how much we liked the Genesis, he asked if we would be interested in taking a look at the GNS in a scandi grind. Being that they make great knives for great prices, of course we obliged. Created with a similar task as the Genesis, the GNS is a bushcrafter's blade. The shaped handle is ergonomic and comfortable to use and the blade came razor sharp.

Thanks for the review. Great job of filming too! I've got a GNS and I love it. If you decide to do another review I would love to see you working with hard woods like oak to see how well it cuts and how well L.T.'s 01 holds an edge. Maybe a Genesis vs. GNS for bush crafting and A2 vs 01 for edge retention and how hard or easy it is to bring the edge back in the field. Also to see the merits of each knife's design.
The thunderstorms were terrible here in Eastern Maryland. The trees were breaking left and right. Awesome review.

I was taught, early on, not to cut towards you. Good advice. Watching him pull that "shaving sharp" knife towards his chest was nerve racking.

Great review, I have a Georgia Bushcrafter with Scandi Grind, love the knife and the feel of it but I just don't care for Scandi. I want a GNS with a Saber Grind.

And its still raining in PGH lol today was dry but humid as crap... But Ive never seen so much rain here its crazy brother...Ive been soaked and muddy every day for the last month or so lol

Great video. I agree with Van Lurton in that a a Genesis vs GNS comparison would be exceptionally handy. I want to get a larger bushcraft fixed blade this month now that Christmas is over. Up at the top of my list of possibilities is both of theses blades. It is a bit of an investment and I want to be sure before I buy. Do you have any suggestions of other possibilities?
I really like the shape of that knife. But I would like a wood handle on it. So similar to a Jacklore or woodlore shape. I'm going to look into this knife more.
