    Brenda, I am only halfway through the episode & I had to pause it real quick to say this… In my experience having a traumatic childhood will give a person more awareness of their surroundings & more “ppl smarts” as I refer to it. It’s a survival skill we learn. This keen perceptiveness. Everyone I have seen on this channel has shown this in their stories. Everyone. I’m blown away by yours though. You are AMAZINGLY insightful 🖤

    It hit me really hard when Brenda said she didn't know loving your mother was a real thing. I don't remember a time I loved my mother and I'm currently trying to heal from the guilt it causes. I have never heard someone say it this clearly before, and it was like a breath of fresh air! Also I just want to say she has such a nice laugh!

    Thanks Brenda for this conversation, I just wanted to join in and share your experiences are so similar, yet also uniquely your's! Your mom was the mom at washakie who I told about my SA, she was getting triggered or something cuz she shut it down so fast. Idk if someone told me this but I remember believing “bad things only happened to bad people, so I must have done something to deserve this.” I also knew if I ever acted on anything gay, the guilt would drive me to off myself. God the joys of being Daniel’s kids… I’ll go subscribe and watch the rest over on your channel💓

    I'm so glad she's doing well, her story was one of the scariest on the show. I get part of the point of social services is to reunite families and plenty just need help. But that they keep trying to force Daniel's kids back into this is terrifying. Bad things only happen to people who deserve it, Daniel has got a lot of shit coming if that is the case

    Wow, I was in the middle of a C2C episode of you Amanda, and your video just dropped 😊
    As somebody who was sexually assaulted when I was young and had to carry that secret for years, I’m really sorry that your cult treated y’all that way when you were the victims and you were still little girls.
    I’m still living in an emotionally, verbally and mentally abuse household, but I’m so happy that you beat your cult, the grip that they had on you. It’s so awful, how much your father put you through, Brenda (and you, Amanda, as well). Forgive me for saying this, but Kingston men are horrible people.
    The fact that you saw unaliving yourself as the logical option, Brenda, is so heartbreaking, and the way your deceased sister was dehumanized and indignated after she ended her life, is a travesty on top of a tragedy on top of a tragedy.
    Thank you for opening up, and sharing your story, and trauma ❤🙏🏾.

    everyone from the Order who says "Daniel" says it the same way. Y'all pronounce the first 'a' as a short vowel as in 'apple. ' It is very pronounced while the rest of the name is said quickly- it sounds like "dAnyl". Most others pronounce the same 'a' as a long vowel like 'snake.' It may be a regional thing, but I've noticed everyone from the order says it this way.

    • @Ruth-nn1dr
      @Ruth-nn1dr 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @kendralowery8622 I noticed , also. It's a fun quirk and I love hearing it. My name has an "Ann" in it and depending who I meet some regions and on the West Coast, friends will pronounce it with that quirk or twang. It's lovely. Though, of course. The individual "dAnyel" is less than l9vely. ! Thanks for making this interesting observation and leaving a comment. It always gives me a little grin in the middle of dark stories.

    Shunning is also normal and part of rule for JWs, my mom is shunning me also. I´m dead to her. They changed shunning rule that they can finally say hi to ex members, but if you are an apostate, they still cant say greetings to you. Other similar thing is mental problems inside my excult, I knew all kind of mental things going on like cutting and eating disorders and sadly I know too many JWs that killed themselfs. JWs still dont tell victims (of things I cant typing here), go to police, they want to fix things with elders, I know some person got DF`ed, cos elders think she was the reason of that bad thing to happen. And sadly to say way too many JWs have died around the globe, cos not taking blood. I was kid when they had magazine cover that had pictures about teens that have died cos didnt take blood, even back then I was thinking it was horrible, that god waits that you rather die than take blood. And he realized that they weren't to be feared they needed help. That's how therapy is. That's how you all described it. You got to get a good long hard puke out and then you'll feel better. That's something with standard about. That's soft. You will be. Being emphasized, it's so both of the way you're saying Daniel.

    Daniel is such a disgusting person. Truly horrible. He needs to be, and stay, in jail.

    Okay so order ppl def pronounce their vowels differently than standard American English and it doesn't fit with regional accents either. It's not bad tho. Standard English is Dan-yul, emphasis on yul. You say dahn-yul, emphasis on dahn

    ive noticed it too. Y'all DO say Daniel weird lol. It's almost like instead of pronouncing the a as you would in the word at, you almost pronounce it like an ah sound or an o sound. Dahniel. Also its kind of like you don't hit the n very hard. It's almost dah-yil
