It would be no "them"... at least not if all his implants didn't have a life expectancy altering effect on shepart he would have died before Liara has even made it through a quarter of her actual life expectancy. To me that has always been the most tragic thing about their relationship. Liara would either end up being a very bitter woman throughout most of her life or she would eventually have to move on making her life with Shepard a mere phase.

Agreed. I know that most people were really upset about the ending (especially before the extended release), but to be honest I never expected this story to end any other way. In fact, I was kind of disappointed that they catered to the fans ire. The extended ending(s) leave our beloved characters in to much of a depressing state of limbo and grief as opposed to heroic sacrifice. Just my opinion though.
If it makes you feel better. There’s an ending where Shepard lives and whoever his love interest is doesn’t put his name up on the wall, and looks up and smiles and wonders if he’s still alive before the Normandy leaves to go find him.

I always do it by just collecting everything I can, every war asset and resource, with Extended Cut you just need total effective to be at least 3100, and pick Destroy. Personally, I believe that the Reaper AI lied and at most EDI and the Geth are temporarily stunned.

On my umpteenth play through of the first game, I realized something, Liara looks like a teenager, like a 16 year old, considering she's 106 and lives to 1000 years it pretty much seals it for me, she's a teen, much like Tali. I can't help but keep being drawn to Liara because she seems to have so much emotion and commitment toward Shepard, Miranda does also, I never cheat on Liara, dump Ashley tho. The end cheated us all!
Liara has always been the most pivotal character in the franchise, saved Shepard from the dead. Always has your back, is a total sweetheart and is by far the best squad mate. Tali & Garrus are not the best. People are wrong for saying that. Liara is the MVP of this series such an interesting and a great character.
