    J, my big misconception for about 3 years was to let the lead heel lift and slam it down but I didn’t realize I did it wrong. When I did I would straighten the lead leg and then because it’s straight too early and then trail side had no where to go but extend. I stopped lifting the heel up and instead felt like I went and got the ground with my feet under me went from probably a 25+ handicap to a 6.8 finally realized that there is a squaring element. Now I’m here for confirmation

    This is a great video, had the aha moment earlier this year with regards to lower body “rotation”. My problem was I was so focus on the rotation bit, all I was doing was early extending (spinning out) club trapped behind, tilting back and a 2 way miss. What I had to do was change my concept of “rotation”. Rotation is a visual result of good hip flexion in the downswing. The more I got my chest/sternum to move down and hips to back (my feel was to sit into lead heel) the better the flexion. Then to get into impact, I felt I pushed up through my lead leg. On video this appeared appeared as more rotation visually but as a result of the moves above and not feeling like I needed to force rotation. Would be interesting if you agree JC as it’s worked wonders for me.

    Excellent video again...I like to equate the squat move to something as natural as throwing a Bocce ball or playing sandbag toss ("cornhole") where you need to use your legs in timing with the hand release to generate power and direction. There are other golf instructors on TH-cam who liken it to "throwing the club" down the fairway. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Bill

    Some say that you should shift pressure to lead side while you’re about to make your backswing, but I notice that you make your backswing first then you initiate the squat and the downswing. Do you have any thoughts of that?

    You have to get lower to reach the ball if you have wrist extension at impact otherwise you’d miss the ball

    When i try to squat. I feel like there is no space for club to drop therefore, i have to extend myself in vertical position. Any drill for that?

    More you squat the more you have to raise to hit the ball .
