Its about time i restarted the 10 minute trains videos, so here is the first! A look at the Hornby Sentinel diesel.
This Sentinel is finished in London Transport livery, as no. DL81.

Pity its not in LT red, hard to see the lettering on the side. Have to say though it looked good running with the wagons. Nice one Eric...all the best.
The red would be nice but its a Metropolitan Railway colour whereas these were based on LT in general probs why they were done green

I lived in west Ken estate 1974-77 and Lillie bridge Pway depot was at the back under part of Earl’s Court car park use to go up to the top floor of my block and you could see right into the depot and one of the diesel shunters was there not sure if they ever ventured out onto the main line ,I can remember being in my push chair and a pannier tank passed through Ravenscourt Park 1969 😊I have this model ,I’m old mate 😊😊

Awesome mate! Yeah the match truck was so they operated the signalling properly so i must assume they went on the mainline once in a blue moon
There is Not one Single Steelworks Model The seninal was a beast a Shunters Loco. Would pull a house down
I really want one for my NVR collection so I'll need to do some work on the buffers which I have seen someone else do. However on analogue I saw the pickup continuity was horrendous so I'll probably wait until they go cheap or secondhand or something 😊👍
Yeah i would mate! Im not sure if a stay alive fitted to a dcc decoder would work on DC, could be an option if so

Looks fun but I think I will stay with my Bachmann LT Pannier. He runs very nicely and very slowly!

Nice vid. Made me want to get one. Coreless motors, I have the Kernow/Heljan PWM which is a terrible cheaply made model . Would you turn back emf off it to help running characteristics?
Im going to have a good play with the settings to see what i can do to help, if i can find a solution i will post it up 🙂
The ealing depot is common not broadway or at least thats what it is now

Kernow are selling these for £65 new... still not worth the faff to get it to run right
Just checked, the other green one is £65, the LT one is £99. But as you say, is it worth it 😬
