Amazing video! So soothing to watch, the shots are so elegant and beautiful, it’s also very educational and easy to get the different steps - massive well done!
We truly appreciate this comment Amélie! We love to know that our customers are well educated and have all the tools to master at home gel manicures. Would love to see yours our Instagram @lemanoir @gelcare.official 🥰
I’ve struggled with home manicures for the longest and every time I go to the salon, they pull out that dremmel and I cringe 😖 Thanks for such a detailed video. Most likely not going back to the salon any time soon.
I’m so keen to give this a go. How long would a manicure last if looked after properly? How long would you estimate to complete the whole process start to finish for a beginner? And is it possible to do toes using the same process ❤
If done properly, and with practice, your manicure should last 2-3 weeks. We don’t recommend keeping it longer. For a beginner, it could take several hours but eventually, 2 hours for removal, nail preparation and gel application should be enough. You can surely use the same process for toes and also use the Gelcare Pedicure Kit ☻
Thank You, and if you want to do a art design (glitter, rhinestones, etc) that’s when you do the top coat rhinestone, glitter and cure. Just asking because I’m not sure. TY ❤️
It would depend on the specific nail art you’re doing. If you only want to add rhinestones, you can only apply the top coat around it. For glitters, you’d need to apply the glitters and then apply top coat to completely seal the manicure ☻
Is the base coat supposed to be "dry" after curing? Ive applied a thin coat, cured for 60 sec, touched it and can see my fingerprint. Cured for another 2 mins and still not hard/dry. I am using full Gelcare system.
If your concern is that your gel is still sticky after applying your base coat and your color, rest assured that this is completely normal as it allows for better adhesion. In fact, it is only after applying your top coat that your manicure will have be completely dried and sealed ☻
After watching this and going to the nail salon my gosh I’ve learnt so much. the guy that removed my acrylics wanted to break my nails 😭he put alcohol in hot water and dipped my nails in a bowl. my nails were cracking and chipping he used that vibrator chipping tool and burned my nail bed 4 times it went like a brownish colour 😭😭😭
I want to apply sunscreen to my hands to protect my skin from the UV lamp. At what point in the steps would this be appropriate to do? Any tips on cleansing the sunscreen from the nail to ensure it doesn't interfere with adhesion? Thanks!
Hi Lynds, you can apply it after your nail preparation steps so right after you wash your hands. Then wipe/cleanse your nail beds with the touch up pads and alcohol or nail cleanser if you have one ☻
Yes! The Gelcare Cleanser isn’t available yet so we recommend using the Gelcare Touch Up Pads with alcohol meanwhile as an alternative. It’s important to wipe the nails after curing the top coat to remove uncured particles of gels that could slide down with cuticle oil near your skin and could result in unwanted skin reactions. It’s also important to wipe before applying base coat to make sure no oil is left on the nail bed causing the base coat to lift. Read our additional resources on our website in order to learn more on safe ways to use gel at home ☻
@@GELCARE thank you so much, I love your gels! I love that you put quality first and use safe ingredients in your gels than traditional ones! I just used the rose water one, it's gorgeous
SInce we’re working one finger at the time for the base coat application, we like to flash cure. So basically, apply base coat, cure 5 seconds and then proceed on all fingers. When done, cure the whole hand for a minute ☻
Hi please can I get advice? I bought the full gelcare starter kit following the instructions step by step - however for the past 6 times my gel nails have peeled off after one day… I tried curing longer for each step and same results. Just a bit disappointed but unsure if it’s something I’m doing incorrectly or if anyone is experiencing the same?
It’s not mandatory but as we swear by a fast and easy removal, we suggest you use the Heating Mittens as it’ll also help to preserve the integrity of your natural nails ☻
GELCARE Top Coat is non wipe. Even though the surface won’t be sticky, we still recommend wiping the cured top coat with our touch up pads and rubbing alcohol since particles of un cured gel on the surface of the top coat may cause a skin reaction if not wiped off.
Our Gelcare Nail Cleanser! We’re currently working on it so it’s not available yet. You can use our Touch Up Pads as they’re lint-free and alcohol for now ☻
I’ve been doing my nails since 2017 and never had this experience before Just after a fiew manicures my nails started to hurt so much, decided to take off the gel polish to find a horrific view of my nails lifting and a yellowish color! Very sad about this because I really liked everything about this company but I have other girl friends too that had to same problem This happened on july 2022 and I am still dealing with it. Yes my nails are growing and is much better put I can tell that I still can’t put nothing on them to give them a chance to come back to normal. My nails have also lost there shape they are now uneven… so girls be carful I wish I would have known before…

They key to healthy nails is in the takeoff technique. A bad removal can lead in fragile, thin and breaking nails. We’ll always do what it takes so our customers use the right technique to get healthy and strong long nails. It isn’t for everyone, taking care of your own nails is time consuming but we’re all about it ☻

The nail tech should only be taking off the bulk of the product down to the base layer and not your actual nail . If tech is using Efile correctly .
Incredibly clean, great work! No lazing around

do we flash cure every nail separately for 5 seconds, repeat base coat then do a minute on the full hand? this tutorial is very helpful 🙂
Hi, after flash curing after each nails, don’t reapply base coat, just go ahead and cure the whole hand for 60 seconds ☻
This is so helpful!
