      Nah. Look he's ridiculous and shit, and what he trains in wouldn't hold up against BJJ for instance, but he'd fuck a regular guy up in his prime. He was legit and did master his craft. The thing is the craft he mastered is Aikido, and it's more for disarming someone coming at you with a sword. Using the other person's momentum. But he'd fuck a regular dude up

    Rules of fighting Steven Seagal:
    1) Don't hit Steven Seagal. If at all possible, telegraph your moves as obvious as you can, so he can easily block it and counterattack you.
    2) Wait your turn. If you are with a group of people and one of them is already fighting him, don't attempt to help him. Instead, wait for him to lose and then take your shot. Remember the first rule, tho.
    3) Don't use guns. If you have a gun, don't use it unless you miss your shots on purpose. Don't attempt to shoot Steven Seagal from a distance. Instead, wave your gun in his face and spout some asshole lines until he disarms you.

      @ranker4 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Xylarxcode 4) If someone has so much bad luck to hit Steven Seagal in the face, he will be sued and imprisoned for life.
      5) Not in the face.
      6) He is training his ego more than training his body. Because when he do film a movie, he needs to tell the director to tell others not to hit him, or even beat him.

    • @SovereignStatesman
      @SovereignStatesman 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +Xylarxcode And whatever you do, don't have any fighting ability whatsoever, just fight like an even bigger girl than he is, so that when he fights like a girl he won't look as fucking stupid. Also play along with his choreographed moves, run up to him with your hand out like you're Hillary Clinton running for president, and run PAST him so he can wave his hands and pretend to grab your hand-- then go flipping through the air like Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football.
      If you used even basic fighting skill, you'd kick his ass, and we don't want that.

      you can't be serious. Seagal was a legit bada$$, a seventh degree aikido black belt who studied under an aikido master in Japan for almost 15 years. he has trained the military special forces of Serbia as well as several police departments here in America. the man was/is the real deal and a legend.

    Best comment I have seen about Steven Seagal aka ‘the goatee donut master’
    And I quote- “Steven Seagal knows aikido, martial arts, Jungty, muah Thai, Taekwondo and other words”

  • @markfox1545
    @markfox1545 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Apparently Seagal trained Sean Connery for a fight scene in one of Connery's films and Connery's wrist was broken during that training. Connery is NOT a small man; he's about 6'3 and bulky so that says something for Seagal's strength.

      I don't think it has anything to do with his strength, more like his reflexes and speed.

      why would a master of any art fuck up a training? seagal is full of shit

    • @TheBoxingCannabyte
      @TheBoxingCannabyte 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Who said Seagal fucked-up during training? Furthermore have YOU ever trained extenisvely in martial arts? Being highly trained in an MA doesn't = perfection every time. I've been training in boxing since I was 8 years old and I'm 30 now, does that mean that every jab I throw will make contact? Does it mean if it doesn't I'm full of shit?
      In Aikido you have to learrn to roll and fall with the grabs and locks, or you'll wind up with, say, a broken wrist.
      Seagal was also in his mid-20s at the time so far from an Aikido master.
      You show all the signs of someone who has never had to spar or train, let alone train someone who doesn't know shit about fighting for a fight scene
      When my wrestling coach, who was a National Champion in the 80s and mid-70s accidently dislocated a student's shoulder, because the student didn't roll properly and too much pressure was put on....that now means he's full of shit, using your own logic. That now means he's not worth anything as a wrestler.
      PS: Fight choreography isn't the same as fighting. Jet Li and Jackie Chan hurt each other multiple times in their big fight scene in Forbidden Kingdom, Li had to get stitches! Does that mean Jackie Chan is "full of shit?"
      Because by your logic it is. Then there are all the times Bruce Lee hit himself in the face with nunchucks on the set of Enter and REturn of the Dragon, all the times he got hurt practicing Wing Chung and developing Jeet Kun Do. You ONLY get better by making mistakes and learning through them.

      @USNavyMC 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      jherrenor That's what I can't stand about him. If the dude actually got hit it would make the fight much more realistic. I'm sorry but if five guys are attacking you... one is going to get a shot in. The only decent fight was the pool hall and that was ONE movie. Typical Hollywood crap fighting most of the time.
      At least JCVD got his ass kicked in his movies.

    • @ExileOfSand
      @ExileOfSand 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      My30thnamechoice Not in Steven Seagal's case, the guy is a 7th Dan Akido Master, he was trained to handle 5 or more guys, in fact to even get to 7th Dan you have be able to beat 7 guys from your knees. Then to go with that he has several other martial arts under him. His movies are pretty much there to just show how dominant he truly is, and make you laugh at the sorry mess the villain put them self in.

    • @USNavyMC
      @USNavyMC 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That is pretty hard core. I guess it's how clean the fight choreography is in his films. I mean all those guys and no one tackles him? I'd like to see his ground game. Also I'd like to see his hair get messed up just once.

    • @ExileOfSand
      @ExileOfSand 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kommisar fine its not "fighting" they are throwing them around. Trust me in a fight a person hitting the concrete a few times will definitely end a fight.

    • @ExileOfSand
      @ExileOfSand 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I do feel they can, just because they practice with partners does not mean it is not being done in a real time speed and fashion. There would be no point to it, if everything was purposely slowed down. That is why being a 7th Dan in Akido is so considered so highly, because you pretty much have to be at a far higher level. That isn't even to go without saying that 7th isn't even the highest, in fact the highest is 10th which you have to be Japanese to pull off. Your point has merit in where yes its not wise to be in the center of it all, which in this case was for portrayal of a movie, and even in Akido the person isn't being surrounded because they learn how to position themselves in a way where they won't be trapped like that. You can't judge Akido based off of a movie which was designed for entertainment, but Akido is not something that is a joke.
