Just to let you know Matt, The green and blue bullets are both different, even with the original game. The Blue bullets are said to be normal strength, so they'll hurt more. Meanwhile, the Green bullets track the opponent, but the damage is very low. The Green bullets aren't really a warning, they just trick you into using your parry card to the bullets that won't damage you much, instead of using it on the ones that do. If that makes sense lol.
It does. I guess he wasn't paying attention to the bar to see that the green bullets didn't do as much damage. Which I don't blame him since just watching him play is stressful
To be fair there is way to much on screen to justify these extra mechanics. I have no idea why people think stacking new mechanics on an already fast pace system would work.

When you reach the next song (Sansational),your final song will be based on attacking (attacks are unlimited but have small cool down to prevent spam to get constant health) or not attacking,I won't spoil what it is on each. Final song will be somewhat easy or very hard depending on what you do. Week 3 - Bendy:When dealing with Bendy,make sure you pay close attention to the info it gives or you will lose lots of times,won't spoil it either. Extras:When you beat any of the Weeks, it'll unlock a new Bonus song (Week 1 will unlock 1 song,as Weeks 2 {depending on final song done} & 3 will unlock 2 songs instead). After beating all songs,you will unlock a new type of mode for songs that will really push you to the limit. I won't reveal it,but I would look up some codes cause there are 2 secret codes for special songs in the game also. Anyways,if you see this,I hope it helps and you do good throughout the rest of the mod :D
Pro Tip for Week 2 : You can actually use your parry on Sans without any requirements. Granted it doesn't do anything on him -yet ;)- but I'm sure you'll find a use for it somehow. You're MATPAT after all...

There's nothing wrong with your camera, it's just an offscreen dodge (probably meant to catch you off gaurd). Also I really hope you return to this, it's a lot of fun watching you play through indie cross!
The devs are adding more indie characters and assuming the intro cutscene games are characters we fight at some point we're gonna get shovel knight (my personal favorite), I think the ghost from hollow knight, goose from untitled goose game, and someone (im guessing foxy or freddy) from fnaf!
Also... When you're fighting Sans, you have to dodge when the red alert pops up. You can also turn off the mechanics if it gets too hard... which it will, trust me.

Yeah, I recently went back and binged a lot of the older GTLive videos from before I started watching them. Because I started watching a few years ago and I don’t think I’ve missed any of the videos that have come out since I first subscribed. And I had already gone back and watched some of the older ones, but there were a lot that I hadn’t seen before. So I decided to just binge watch all of them in order. I’m sorta taking a break from it right now though

tip for friday night funkin' change your keys to something like d f j k in the settings, makes it a lot easier. I'd also recommend trying downscroll, but I think that's more a personal preference of mine that is if you haven't already tried these
I think it's really cool that your employees are comfortable enough to tell you when something doesn't click for them/ what they would be comfortable to work on. It was said in passing but it spoke volumes for me. I don't really like watching fan games either, but when I first saw this mod i was really excited for you to see it, I was sure you would think it was as cool as I did, and I'm very glad you decided to play it despite the fact you were the only one interested.

I always find it funny how much creativity gets skipped over by more popular TH-camrs such as GTLive, Dawko, 8BitRyan and others from the mods of FNF. Indie Cross, Blueballs Incident, Sonic.exe Round 2, Impostor, and all the other greats.... Massive amounts of teams with massive amounts of effort and detail.... When people come back, they're just steamrolled by the amount of effort and references to other mods unknown to them. XD (And at least these people haven't even begun to scratch the surface of difficulty levels such as Shaggy, Matt, Dave & Bambi, and the rest....)

Fun fact: for those who dont know, one of the artists from indie cross called "Nonsens" has his own fnf mod called "a nonsensical friday night". And it is getting a huge update soon. Its an update that aparently includes a lot more things than any mod ever had.

For anyone wondering with the cuphead one the green ones you cannot Dodge but they do little damage the blue ones you can dodge if you want to or Perry them cuz they do more damage
im glad he played indie cross! as someone whos been in the fnf community for a little over a year i can easily say its THE best mod out there right now and blew my socks off when i first played it- from a programing standpoint its not too complex but all the talented people they got on their team to make the banger music and the tv quality animations were very impressive and i still listen to the ost throughout my normal day

Hey Matpat, Mirror Matt, or ash, a tip to generally play better is to change your keybinds from WASD or Arrow Keys and play with 2 hand keybinds, like DF JK or AS KL. It improves skill alot but takes some practice, hope this helps!

Hey matpat. I see that to your struggling so I’d like to give you some advice that I used when I play Friday Night which is to use your left hand on A and S to take care of left and down. And use your right and on the up and right arrow keys to ya know, take care of up and right. My friend taught me that trick and it helps a lot (plus one of the Friday Night TH-camrs I watch does the same thing and he’s really good)
Hope you do more of this at some point; Indie Cross is really cool as someone who has never played any of FNF to me, and both Sans and Bendy have some real bangers.
Glad to see you play indie cross matpat, tho i recommend going on hard since most fnf mods prioritize hard mode only for full experience. But you can go hard after normal if you want.

him figuring out the mechanics brings me back to those times in gameplay videos where its just so pure also me losing most of the time at knockout is not because the dodging but pressing attack by accident at the wrong time

I loved knockout! It was probably my favorite. From the animation, how angry cuphead looks, to how they incorporated a little bit of the melody from “I’m mr king dice” I’m not sure what it’s actually called lol

I'm an FNF pro, and I have some tips, because this game is awesome and I want you to play it more. The game wants you to use DDR style arrow keys or WASD. Some even use the four fingers on one hand to hit the notes. My preferred setup is: Left is A, down is S, up is 5 on the numpad, and right is 6 on the numpad. Then use the pointer and middle fingers on each side. Having the notes straight across instead of thinking about the DDR dancepad is way easier. Even if you can't change the keybinds, have your left hand on A and S, then the right on the up arrow and the right arrow on the arrow keys. Spamming is easily the worst thing you can do. If you spam the notes, especially if the mod has death notes, you're gonna be doing way more harm to yourself than help. Spamming is a lot of people's panic solution when there are a lot of notes. No matter how many notes there are, spamming is awful (unless you don't have any brain power to begin with and you play on new input.) Composure is key. Certain configuration are loved by the modding community, such as jacks, stairs and doubles. Familiarize yourself with these note configurations, and you will fly through most songs. Pausing is HUGE. Sometimes you need a break to recover your strength. The game gives you tons of moments to safely pause whilst the opponent is going, so utilize them as much as you can. I also just wanted to say that hard mode is basically the way you're intended to play, so start there, and THEN dial down if you're struggling. Other than that, you just need tons of practice. Play at your own level of skill, and go up.
I really love this mod, definitely my favourite fnf mod out there currently, the creators outdid themselves with all the bonus song and mechanics, I should tell Timmy about this for his birthday.
I kinda like how he's puzzle solving what went wrong and improving in Knockout, idk if he does that with other games since I don't watch him too much but it's super cool to see!

Yea, I’ve been binging all of their episodes that I haven’t seen, most of which are really early on in the channel’s history.

I always find it funny how much creativity gets skipped over by more popular TH-camrs such as GTLive, Dawko, 8BitRyan and others from the mods of FNF.
Indie Cross, Blueballs Incident, Sonic.exe Round 2, Impostor, and all the other greats.... Massive amounts of teams with massive amounts of effort and detail....
When people come back, they're just steamrolled by the amount of effort and references to other mods unknown to them. XD
(And at least these people haven't even begun to scratch the surface of difficulty levels such as Shaggy, Matt, Dave & Bambi, and the rest....)

Fun fact: for those who dont know, one of the artists from indie cross called "Nonsens" has his own fnf mod called "a nonsensical friday night". And it is getting a huge update soon. Its an update that aparently includes a lot more things than any mod ever had.

For anyone wondering with the cuphead one the green ones you cannot Dodge but they do little damage the blue ones you can dodge if you want to or Perry them cuz they do more damage

I would love it if you played The Blueballs Incident. Indie cross is literally the only mod that is better than the Blueballs incident.
im glad he played indie cross! as someone whos been in the fnf community for a little over a year i can easily say its THE best mod out there right now and blew my socks off when i first played it- from a programing standpoint its not too complex but all the talented people they got on their team to make the banger music and the tv quality animations were very impressive and i still listen to the ost throughout my normal day
i dont know if it has any lore, but i think a good channel you could watch on a non-live stream would be boisvert

Hey Matpat, Mirror Matt, or ash, a tip to generally play better is to change your keybinds from WASD or Arrow Keys and play with 2 hand keybinds, like DF JK or AS KL. It improves skill alot but takes some practice, hope this helps!

Hey matpat. I see that to your struggling so I’d like to give you some advice that I used when I play Friday Night which is to use your left hand on A and S to take care of left and down. And use your right and on the up and right arrow keys to ya know, take care of up and right. My friend taught me that trick and it helps a lot (plus one of the Friday Night TH-camrs I watch does the same thing and he’s really good)

Hope you do more of this at some point; Indie Cross is really cool as someone who has never played any of FNF to me, and both Sans and Bendy have some real bangers.
Glad to see you play indie cross matpat, tho i recommend going on hard since most fnf mods prioritize hard mode only for full experience. But you can go hard after normal if you want.
I’m glad that mat thinks highly of the fnf community despite its mishaps along the way. I really want to see him tackle more amazing mods like the trollge files since some of them have pretty interesting lore.

I loved knockout! It was probably my favorite. From the animation, how angry cuphead looks, to how they incorporated a little bit of the melody from “I’m mr king dice” I’m not sure what it’s actually called lol

I'm an FNF pro, and I have some tips, because this game is awesome and I want you to play it more.
The game wants you to use DDR style arrow keys or WASD. Some even use the four fingers on one hand to hit the notes. My preferred setup is: Left is A, down is S, up is 5 on the numpad, and right is 6 on the numpad. Then use the pointer and middle fingers on each side. Having the notes straight across instead of thinking about the DDR dancepad is way easier. Even if you can't change the keybinds, have your left hand on A and S, then the right on the up arrow and the right arrow on the arrow keys.
Spamming is easily the worst thing you can do. If you spam the notes, especially if the mod has death notes, you're gonna be doing way more harm to yourself than help. Spamming is a lot of people's panic solution when there are a lot of notes. No matter how many notes there are, spamming is awful (unless you don't have any brain power to begin with and you play on new input.) Composure is key.
Certain configuration are loved by the modding community, such as jacks, stairs and doubles. Familiarize yourself with these note configurations, and you will fly through most songs.
Pausing is HUGE. Sometimes you need a break to recover your strength. The game gives you tons of moments to safely pause whilst the opponent is going, so utilize them as much as you can.
I also just wanted to say that hard mode is basically the way you're intended to play, so start there, and THEN dial down if you're struggling. Other than that, you just need tons of practice. Play at your own level of skill, and go up.
To help Mat, theres a sound indicator where you need to doge in Sans' songs, blue notes you avoid and orange you hit...hopefully this helps!
I really love this mod, definitely my favourite fnf mod out there currently, the creators outdid themselves with all the bonus song and mechanics, I should tell Timmy about this for his birthday.
I kinda like how he's puzzle solving what went wrong and improving in Knockout, idk if he does that with other games since I don't watch him too much but it's super cool to see!
He does that for like ever game he plays 🤣

Green bullets are definitely a feint to make you use your parry and Sans is giving you an audio cue to dodge instead of a visual cue like in cuphead.
