Great video 🤩, Fort Jefferson in South Florida is my favorite with the Gateway Arch being a close second. As for WTC 1 it needs a twin to mean something so fingers crossed 🤞 AMEX demands a design change for WTC 2, but for right now the Brooklyn Tower and American Radiator Building are the best in NY. Also every time I hear and see the words New York City, NY I have a stroke; New York, NY is the address but is confusing so I’d change it back to Nassau/Orange/Mauritz if not then to Greg just because.
Thanks! On the New York front, I too sometimes don’t even know what to put because you can put New York, NY (which I will have done on part 2), Manhattan, NY, New York City, NY. I mean if you grab 100 random pieces of mail in Manhattan they probably have a mixture of all three. But yeah, New York, NY is *correct*, not sure why I went with NYC, NY on this video lol.
Great video, but you really skimmed over the Gateway Arch… I would’ve liked to hear you discuss the interior a bit. There’s a massive museum complex underneath and you can take trams up the legs, which are engineering marvels themselves, to the observation deck at the peak! There’s also an active freight railway (and unfortunately a freeway) underneath the national park it sits on. Probably the only national park in a city downtown. ⚜️🫶
But it really SHOULDN'T be a complete National Park. That status is meant to be for land set aside to protecting the US's gorgeous landscapes like Shenandoah in Virginia or Arches in Utah, and a park on the St. Louis waterfront...isn't that. It should've remained a National Memorial, which is still NPS. Also, they destroyed old urban fabric for the park...
@@waterlooandcityline oh no yeah, I HATE the Arch and what it did to the most valuable real estate in the region… but since it’s here; and since we set aside 90+ acres for a natural habitat, I’d say it deserves to be a national one.
Also, you spent an average of over 45 seconds on all the others, but only 32 seconds on the Arch. There is a lot more that could have been said; hopefully you'll include some more of the amazing buildings here in the Lou in part 2. ;P
loved the video. can’t wait for part 2!
Why
I believe what makes Fallingwater so amazing is that it was not designed to be an art museum.

@@fourth_place lol relatable 🙃 keep up the good work and can’t wait for part 2!
good video
In your timestamp at 8:47 is spelled *TWA not *TWF, I hope you can fix this.
Nice video! Altho, one hopes the Iowa State Capitol makes it in to part 2!
I think you’ll be presently surprised for Part 2! :) Make sure you stay until the very end tho 😉 don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss it!
Geary's designs are eew! In my opinion. Maybe I need to see it in person.
Kentucky? Mutter Gottes in Covington, Noah's Arc in Northern Kentucky, the Muhammad Ali Museum in Louisville
The flat iron building in NYC does not have a steel frame. As it name implies, it has an iron frame.
The flat iron building in steel framed the name comes from the triangular shape that resembles a clothes iron...
how could you be so confident yet so wrong bro…
Chicago, the city that defined the high rise and known for its architecture - nothing. Keep trying bud.
You realize that this is a two part series right?
@@fourth_place I do. Just keeping you honest.
Can't go wrong with a ranking list! Love this!
He said it’s not in ranked order though?
I guess it’s a ranking in the sense that it’s the top 50 out of the millions (billions?) of buildings in the U.S. 🤷🏻♂️ you both are right!

flights from my local airport are pretty cheap to STL, so I might just have to make a visit in the coming months to see what all the hype is about!
