Footage of Nickelodeon Studios from this time period is really rare, ESPECIALLY footage with the storm-damaged signage. the only footage I knew of prior is the Slime Geyser video.
Is that why that they took everything down of the Nickelodeon studios because of the hurricane? It’s a shame that I wasn’t born in the 1990s to go there I was born in April 8th 2005 after 2004 when the hurricane damaged the Nickelodeon studios I wish I was born in the 1990s to go there before the hurricane
This can not possibly be from the second to last day, as the color scheme on the building in this video is the old color scheme, and the building was repainted to mostly green in 2004.
I think that repaint happened late in 2004, I definitely was there August 16, 2004 and the building definitely is not green. I only went to the east coast and Nick Studios in the 2000s once, and the news footage I have from the hurricane clearly says it was Charley passing through, and that was from Aug 9, 2004 - Aug 15, 2004. I saw a lot of places mention the repaint happening in 2004 but I could not really find any specific source for when in 2004. I do wonder if the hurricane contributed to the building getting a repaint, or it ending productions. You can see in the footage the big Nickelodeon sign is damaged, missing both Ns. I did also find someone else's photo dated Aug 18, 2004 where the building still has the old paint.
@@larryinc64sarchive56 Weird, I wonder why they would repaint the building if they never filmed anything else there ever again? I could have SWORN I watched a couple episodes of Slime Time Live with the other color scheme.
It must’ve happened between September 2004 and January 2005, there are a handful of photos out there that show an unfinished version of the paint job, lacking paint on the railings on the second floor balcony and the storm-damaged sign, where a whole chunk of the splat was somehow torn off.
It was fun, but I did not get sprayed with slime unfortunately. There is some footage of 9 year old me being very excited about the show afterwards, I mentioned "the blue team got every point". My mother and sister did not go in with me, but I do have some other footage of my sister telling my mom (who was outside on one of those benches) that I am currently in the audience lol.

Wow, very cool footage. I can definitely tell this was August 2004, as the sign was already damaged from the Florida hurricanes.

Thanks for posting it. How'd Nick Splat go for you? Did your section of the audience get sprayed with slime?
