There are proposals for a new interactive experiene similar to the old Nickelodeon studios but with a twist, instead of just live shows and interactive exhibits, there will also be attractions based on the “Mr Old Mc Donald Had A Farm” franchise. The Adventures of Pete and Pete has actually gotten more enjoyable for me as I've gotten older! There are so many layers to the story that I didn't really pick up on as a kid. I'm 30 now, my dad is 59 and we STILL watch the show together on a regular basis.
Awesome! I loved Pete and Pete as a kid and love it just as much, if not more now. My parents were/are super cool 😎 and my mom used to love watching it with me as a kid. We actually both flew down to FL in 2019 and got to meet and chat with Danny and Mike. They even gave her a shout out during a show since we came so far haha. There are so many more things to pick up on and details to appreciate watching it with adult eyes. The creators made something really, really special with it.

I remember the Gak kitchen and the Double Dare "Auditions" where someone got slimed. The book Slimed is an awesome Nick history book. So many memories!

Wow, that front shot of the building at 9:56 made me think back to when i was there with my family in Spring 2004 as i could still see the Nickelodeon sign on front. Makes me wonder what they are going to use the building for now that BMG is no longer doing shows there after 13 years.

I remember when I went as a kid, I started screaming when my mom tried taking me to Nickelodeon Studios because I was afraid of getting slimed. I think I'm the only one who actually didn't want to get slimed.
The fact that my mom somehow planned that while my whole family was going on kong she was going to surprise me with the nick tour is still one of my favorite memories from my first trip and The fact that I got to be slimed on slime time live even got to be on national tv Made it even better!!!! Also I just realized that this happened 20 years ago this year!!!!!
In my opinion, the Studios should become a multipurpose rest area. Since it’s right next to Rockit, the park’s only major outdoor coaster it would make total sense to have an area where guests could properly sit down in the shade and chill out for a few minutes. The old waiting canopy is perfect for this. Maybe have a small restaurant out of the former Game Lab area so that after chilling out guests could get a bite to eat. Maybe have it themed to some of the opening day attractions like Kongfrontation, Hanna-Barbara and Jaws the Ride. Maybe have a water fountain taking over where the Slime Geyser used to be, and adding some small picnic spots on the lawn out front so guests could eat their meals. As for paint Stage 18 would be painted in the old concrete grey with the pink and blue accents. The main building would stay roughly the same, just with some pink railings instead of blue. Maybe include some nods to Nick Studios, like having a black and white pictures of it hanging on the wall in the cafe. The idea I will call ‘Universal’s Legacy Cafe’ or something along those lines.
I got to experience the tour as a kid and my jaw dropped to, when i went they were still doing slime time live, and it was amazing to see it all operational ! I’m grateful for the experience.
It would be so neat if Nickelodeon came back to this building in some form. I came to Nickelodeon Studios when I was 7 years old and went on the tour... I also saw a kid get slimed in the game lab.
I feel like we need to get a petition going to have Universal partner with Nickelodeon to restore the studios!! A walkthrough tour, ride or museum that shows the history of the original Nickelodeon studios and the shows that were filmed there would be absolutely amazing. Think of all the money they would make bringing in all of the 90s kids who are now adults with their kids so that they can show them what their childhood looked like. It’s a win win for everyone.
I heard rumors that they're going to reincorporate this section of the park as part of Universal Studios Florida again, and that it might be replaced with some special effects show or something.
I really like your idea on what they should do with the building! It would acknowledge the retro-ness of the OG park while still proving to have profitable use in the present. One thing I would add to that is the addition of one of Nickelodeon's biggest IPs to progress the site into the future (and if Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko are down), make that the site for Avatar Studios!

I had a lot of favorite shows. Roundhouse was one of mine! They need to make it into like a museum or something. That building is too sentimental to those of us who grew up in the 1990s watching those shows. That was our childhood!

Universal kept it well guarded in 2016 for some reason, I walked up to the building by the stairs and within 2 minutes i had a cast member watching me, and told me I was ok as long as i didnt cross the chain and go up the stairs. I dont get the secrecy
I went today and found away past the gate. Before you go into the park they had the main gate open because they are using the studio for a haunted house for this october. So that is what i think the studio is being used as at the moment.
Thank you for posting. Being from the UK, I never had much of connection with Nickelodeon as it was a cable channel, which we didn't have at the time. Some channels showed the odd programme but that was about it. Such a shame that Blue Man Group show has ended as I enjoyed that much. Going back to Nickelodeon did the time capsule end up in California?
After the studios closed they transferred it to the Nickelodeon Suites in Orlando. That’s now closed and it’s currently at the animation studios in Burbank.
They should definitely reopen the building and make it a museum dedicated to Nickelodeon and they should bring back the Jimmy Neutron ride as well. Gen Z is obsessed with the 90s era they would love that attraction.
A Nickelodeon museum would be cool. They could have artifacts from the studio and the old shows filmed there. I watched Disney Channel and PBS more as a kid. But I do always remember watching Rugrats with my siblings
I feel like this is the oddest idea I can think of, but why not turn it into a nickelodeon museum? That is, if Universal and Nick are still in contract together. While I don't see it ever being a "Nick Studios" again, I think turning it into a museum in the park would still honor its memory and could bring back the former look. It would also give a reason to moving the time capsule back to its former location, the location where it should have stayed and not opened until 2042 (21 years from now btw at time of commenting). It sucks because as kid who was born right when nick studios opened (literally in 92), I always wanted to go down to the studios, but because of being on opposite coasts never did. It holds so many memories watching it on television and seeing the iconic slim and branding. It's not the same. Turning it into a Blue Man Group did nothing for it and the worse thing I think can and could happen to it would be making it office space.

I think the time tor Nickelodeon to come back would be NOW wall they still can, the BMG (aka stage 18), IS NOW VACANT! Srage 18 could easily be repainted over to match stage 19, and the building can easily be painted back to its former rainbow color, even the splat color, despite them closing in 2005 due to a lack of funding, lack of visitors, and a lack of employees, Since Nickelodeon is still popular, they could put money towards reopening it. If only they wanted to, but I doubt its going to reopen anytime soon..

My family and I loved Nick. I was born in the 2000's but they were still running the classics so I knew what everything was. (Maybe minus some of the game shows) Nick these days isn't nearly as good as it used to be, but having the memories of watching shows like Jimmy Neutron to things like Big Time Rush will always make me happy ✨💜

One big obstacle now is that SpongeBob, Nick’s biggest IP, SeaWorld has the theme park rights from 2019 and beyond. All other Nick’s cartoon characters like Loud House has it licensed rights to Six Flags.

The fact that my mom somehow planned that while my whole family was going on kong she was going to surprise me with the nick tour is still one of my favorite memories from my first trip and The fact that I got to be slimed on slime time live even got to be on national tv Made it even better!!!! Also I just realized that this happened 20 years ago this year!!!!!

In my opinion, the Studios should become a multipurpose rest area. Since it’s right next to Rockit, the park’s only major outdoor coaster it would make total sense to have an area where guests could properly sit down in the shade and chill out for a few minutes. The old waiting canopy is perfect for this. Maybe have a small restaurant out of the former Game Lab area so that after chilling out guests could get a bite to eat. Maybe have it themed to some of the opening day attractions like Kongfrontation, Hanna-Barbara and Jaws the Ride. Maybe have a water fountain taking over where the Slime Geyser used to be, and adding some small picnic spots on the lawn out front so guests could eat their meals. As for paint Stage 18 would be painted in the old concrete grey with the pink and blue accents. The main building would stay roughly the same, just with some pink railings instead of blue. Maybe include some nods to Nick Studios, like having a black and white pictures of it hanging on the wall in the cafe.
The idea I will call ‘Universal’s Legacy Cafe’ or something along those lines.

I got to experience the tour as a kid and my jaw dropped to, when i went they were still doing slime time live, and it was amazing to see it all operational ! I’m grateful for the experience.

It would be so neat if Nickelodeon came back to this building in some form. I came to Nickelodeon Studios when I was 7 years old and went on the tour... I also saw a kid get slimed in the game lab.
I would love to see reboots of pinwheel you can't do that on television and Eureeka's castle to a new generation of kids

I feel like we need to get a petition going to have Universal partner with Nickelodeon to restore the studios!! A walkthrough tour, ride or museum that shows the history of the original Nickelodeon studios and the shows that were filmed there would be absolutely amazing. Think of all the money they would make bringing in all of the 90s kids who are now adults with their kids so that they can show them what their childhood looked like. It’s a win win for everyone.
I heard rumors that they're going to reincorporate this section of the park as part of Universal Studios Florida again, and that it might be replaced with some special effects show or something.

I really like your idea on what they should do with the building! It would acknowledge the retro-ness of the OG park while still proving to have profitable use in the present. One thing I would add to that is the addition of one of Nickelodeon's biggest IPs to progress the site into the future (and if Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko are down), make that the site for Avatar Studios!
It would be amazing! Time will tell what happens.

I had a lot of favorite shows. Roundhouse was one of mine! They need to make it into like a museum or something. That building is too sentimental to those of us who grew up in the 1990s watching those shows. That was our childhood!
(3:55) When I heard that, I instantly got flashbacks to my childhood self sitting in front of the Thomson CRT TV with the Sony VCR and the SCV MaxTV box tuned to channel 32 which was where Nickelodeon (Southeast Asia) was located on that pay TV service at the time (IIRC it's channel 314 on its modern descendant, StarHub TV Plus).

Universal kept it well guarded in 2016 for some reason, I walked up to the building by the stairs and within 2 minutes i had a cast member watching me, and told me I was ok as long as i didnt cross the chain and go up the stairs. I dont get the secrecy

I went today and found away past the gate. Before you go into the park they had the main gate open because they are using the studio for a haunted house for this october. So that is what i think the studio is being used as at the moment.

Thank you for posting. Being from the UK, I never had much of connection with Nickelodeon as it was a cable channel, which we didn't have at the time. Some channels showed the odd programme but that was about it. Such a shame that Blue Man Group show has ended as I enjoyed that much.
Going back to Nickelodeon did the time capsule end up in California?
After the studios closed they transferred it to the Nickelodeon Suites in Orlando. That’s now closed and it’s currently at the animation studios in Burbank.
They should definitely reopen the building and make it a museum dedicated to Nickelodeon and they should bring back the Jimmy Neutron ride as well. Gen Z is obsessed with the 90s era they would love that attraction.

A Nickelodeon museum would be cool. They could have artifacts from the studio and the old shows filmed there. I watched Disney Channel and PBS more as a kid. But I do always remember watching Rugrats with my siblings
I feel like this is the oddest idea I can think of, but why not turn it into a nickelodeon museum? That is, if Universal and Nick are still in contract together. While I don't see it ever being a "Nick Studios" again, I think turning it into a museum in the park would still honor its memory and could bring back the former look. It would also give a reason to moving the time capsule back to its former location, the location where it should have stayed and not opened until 2042 (21 years from now btw at time of commenting). It sucks because as kid who was born right when nick studios opened (literally in 92), I always wanted to go down to the studios, but because of being on opposite coasts never did. It holds so many memories watching it on television and seeing the iconic slim and branding. It's not the same. Turning it into a Blue Man Group did nothing for it and the worse thing I think can and could happen to it would be making it office space.

I think the time tor Nickelodeon to come back would be NOW wall they still can, the BMG (aka stage 18), IS NOW VACANT! Srage 18 could easily be repainted over to match stage 19, and the building can easily be painted back to its former rainbow color, even the splat color, despite them closing in 2005 due to a lack of funding, lack of visitors, and a lack of employees, Since Nickelodeon is still popular, they could put money towards reopening it. If only they wanted to, but I doubt its going to reopen anytime soon..
Kenan and kel and all that was both my favorite shows to watch during that era and I believed that's where it took place and filmed at the time.

My family and I loved Nick. I was born in the 2000's but they were still running the classics so I knew what everything was. (Maybe minus some of the game shows) Nick these days isn't nearly as good as it used to be, but having the memories of watching shows like Jimmy Neutron to things like Big Time Rush will always make me happy ✨💜

One big obstacle now is that SpongeBob, Nick’s biggest IP, SeaWorld has the theme park rights from 2019 and beyond.
All other Nick’s cartoon characters like Loud House has it licensed rights to Six Flags.
