I wanted to make a video as soon as I could to share a reasonably consistent strategy for you all to use. It may not be the strategy to get the fastest kill ever, but it sure does work! If it wasn't for Jagex patching the 4 pile method it would have been live sooner.
I thought I read on the subreddit that they planned to hotfix using the Action Button as a "pause", adding a small punishment if you don't ascend the pillars
You can hop back and forth between telegraphs on the north east rocks and dodge them while chipping both away just click ability for pillars at the 9 on the boss bar. You can get sub 3 minute kill times this way.
This boss isn't fun in the slightest and it's arguably trash lmfao the game would be more fun without the boss 😂😂😂 the fact of it is they added something that's already dead content and uninteresting 😂😂
This method is going to be fixed the action button pressing without using the pillars won’t be possible as it will no longer reset or pause damage/healing
The method shown shouldn't be fixed unless I missed something. The boss heals if u dont slam it using the special button. That patch is live. I talk about it at 6:55
My strat for getting a 1 cycle fairly consistently has been the following: -Gather 25 moon shards at the start, repair barrier to 90%. This weakens 3 single target attacks. -Transmute/mine the 4 piles in the south west section. Deal with mechanics and eat accordingly. -Once I have mined all 4 rocks, use the button and jump up the pillars and bam, 1 cycle. Best time so far doing this is 2:58.2
Since noone is making an updated guide for this boss since the Spec. Action patch, here's a strat a friend of mine made for very easy sub 4 min kills. This is my ... adjusted method ... since I'm still learning and not bringing a Blood Reaver, lol. IF you do use Blood Reaver or are just better at health management, the strat is even quicker, just reverse the order of rocks and don't activate the barrier. - In terms of gear, what is recommended by Protoxx is perfect, although the aura can be replaced (or bolstered if combined) with a Lava Titan. NO BoB since this is a 2 CYCLE strat! - Use Bone Shield as Barricade is required after first cycle. - IF you struggle with the Pillars, a third cycle will be required but it's completely safe and theres no danger of losing the fight (well ... unless you royally fuck up mechanics, lol). The fight: First cycle: - Start fight on the right side, grab ~25 Moonstone Shards and charge barrier to 30%-60%. - Transmute/Mine the 2 North East rocks closest to barrier. When mechanics happen, alternate between the rocks and react accordingly. - When Boss' Adren hits 10, stand on the stairs behind barrier and tank the ~1800 damage. Use Excalibur for free heals. - Completely mine those rocks (could tick mine if you want to tryhard) and hit Spec. Action and slam her as fast as possible. Second cycle: - After slamming the Boss, surge to the North West rocks and activate Barricade before her Insta Kill hits. (lvl 76 Bone Shield gives you a solid 10seconds after activation). - Keep health up (since using barrier isn't worth it anymore) and transmute/mine the 2 rocks. When mechanics happen, alternate between the rocks and react accordingly. These rocks are even easier to manage mechanics coz you can literally just click the rocks back and forth during autos and always get out of the way. - Once those 2 rocks are finished, hit Spec. Action and slam her as fast as possible. Assuming your fast enough during both slams, easy sub 4min 2 cycle. - IF you mess up either of the Pillars, you won't get the kill. Surge to Icthlarin's healing bubble and transmute/mine that rock right next to it. Each rock is 2,500 damage so gather accordingly, surge to boss and finish her off. Still a sub 5min kill if you fuck up. After you master the Pillars, this is extremely consistent and relaxed. Obvs, there are sweaty as fuck one cycle strats out there but they're really not worth it for a boss thats practically free to kill. Good luck on drops, fellow 'Scapers! Any TH-camr that wants to take this and make it into a video, by all means, go for it! Some credit would be nice, though.
i just can't stand how wonky the camera works when jumping. they need to do something about it, sometimes misclick because at the last second the camera moves to where my character is
It might be useful to know, that when you attack the boss, it will reduce your corruption stacks by 2 per blue ore you mine. Other useful items are Excalibur and a bunyip familiar. The ability transfigure can also be useful against the "begone" attack, especially if you have a high amount of corruption stats.
An odd alternative I discovered for players without a corehammer- bring an augmented defender with the mobile perk rather than using Shadow's grace. The % chance to mitigate damage applies to pretty much every hit you can take.
the first charged attack goes up to 10, then 7 the rest of them. Meaning you can transmute both those right side rocks and most of the rock near the heal sphere. i consistently get 4:40 kills, but i repair the barrier to 30% and dont tank those charged hits cuz i dont want to handle using a ton of food. I use 2-3 monkfish at most per kill
If you practice some mechanics (like barracading on the last tick before skipping the first mechanic) and have good surges (double surge + mobile is pretty much all you need) you can consistently get 3:2X with a 2 or 2.5 cycle (having to raw throw 2 or 3 shards after the fight ends.) It's very very easy, I was getting consistent low 3 min times with almost no unlocks after around 30 mins lol.
There's also some things like 0 time doing a triple repair on barriers to deal with the mechanics in a non buggy way and only losing like 5s over the course of the fight. Still getting consistent sub 4s with no food/bug abuse.
instead of wasting time at the start you can repair the barrier while waiting. Also saying "you cant do anything about it", if you had repaired it it wouldnt be a problem, if you dont spam the action button since they will nerf it anyway
Idk if you found a way to improve on this yourself, but it's possible to easily semi-afk the boss fight while getting easy 3:00-3:15 kills, with possibility to get sub 3min kills and a sad chance to go above 3:30 as well sometimes. Doing so requires nothing but Pickaxe of Life and Death with Honed 6 perk and some food. You can bank anything else. I'm not sure how it works on the north side with boosts since that method is crap to me, so i've done no testing, but not a single skilling boost works to improve kill times or gathering speeds if you do south method with repaired barriers that i'm using. This includes Aura, overload, mining cape, taggas, etc. etc. etc. And no, this isn't just spewing garbage. A friend and i have tested it quite extensively with our method, with him being close to 1k kc and me being close to 700 kc. The kill times for the method we use is around the same regardless of solo or duo.
Jagex is patching this method so that the special action button can't be used as a pause without actually jumping the pillars. Also the begone attack does far less damage if south of a repaired barrier
Everyones overcomplicating the boss, you can 2 down in the same tome with 0 food by gathering the south side of the barrier. I feel like the pvmers are trying to min max and making jt seem much harder than it is
I found a method that does extremely consistent 3:30 kills staying south with no food or barricade or any boosts. If I'm going to waste food north of the barrier I found a videos showing a speed kill method that requires a lot of boots and a gargoyle with scrolls and a couple of sailfish that achieves kill speeds of under 2:30
imagine anyone with a brain testing this before it got released if it was unintended, how do they even miss that? i guess we are the ones who test it and they fix the bugs after the players report it
The method shown shouldn't be fixed unless I missed something. The boss heals if u dont slam it using the special button. That patch is live. I talk about it at 6:55
Not sure if this has been fixed or called out previously. But, I was stuck in practice mode when i first did this boss and could not for the life of me figure out how to get to normal mode. I’d still get xp and drops, but no KC logged for my first several kills. I ended up having to go into the sanctum of rebirth dungeon and setting the dungeon to normal mode to correct it. I’d never done SoR before so it was set to practice mode I guess, which caused GoE to be set to practice mode as well. Leaving this for whoever else may have the same issue
You might be better off following a method I found that requires no barricade or food staying south for exactly the same consistent kill speed as this one you showed as an example. No supplies wasted.
So i dont even go north, i just go to the west side, mine 4 of the rocks on the south side, this gives me a full yak and maybe 3 or 4 in my invy, then go and use the pillars jump as fast as i can for 25% and its usually always a 1 cycle, its really chill, i use very little food, and constantly getting kills.
Anyone else having trouble clicking the pillars? The moment they spawn they flicker in and out of view for a sec making it very hard to click them fast enough to get the 25% bonus
If you have to two-phase the boss anyways and you said Jagex patched the boss from being one shot, why not just drop the pack yak and split the damage into two phases? Powerburst of vitality looks like it would be an ideal choice here as it uses less inventory space and is actually cheaper than most food options as well
I just mine top left pile, left pile just under her, far right pile, start mining top right pile click action button and kill her in 1 jump, its a consistent like 3.04
idk i get one shot killed after the special attack after pillars all the time idk what im doing wrong; like i cant get away to the green circle in time i literally die running towards it ;[[[[[
It seems to me like the bomb from the action button now heals about 2k hp. Bringing it up over 100k before the third trip. And the bosses "basic attack" seems to habe only a 1 tile hitbox rather than the displayed 3
So am I to understand you can no longer summon the pillars with enough shards and one-shot the boss? Like if you had mined one extra ore piece, would you have killed the boss? Or did Jagex just permanently make sure no matter how many shards you have you cannot one-shot the boss on the first summon of pillars? You have to run and mine one more rock for somewhere and run back.
i'm still 1 cycling minutes ago. i find as long as i mine the 4 north rocks and hit pillars before he has 100k it's a 1 hit every time, i'm averaging 3:20 or so
Hey i was wondering, what do i do to avoid dying when the screen goes white/pale and i just constantly keep getting hit no matter what? i feel like i missed something
A guide if you want to make it as hard as possible.. just stay in south region and avoid most mechs with the same outcome I’m making 4 min kills with the same output with 0 food intake
Tips: use the extra ability button at 9 boss adrenaline. Cade the next full bar, click the extra button at 6 boss adrenaline, and then just wait for it to come back to get a kill time of 3:17-3:20
Can you create a video about how to use the runic attuner and how it stacks up against the standard methods for rc xp? I'm curious if it's worth using to get 120 rc
@ProtoxxGaming I hear you, I'm hoping the memory dowser drops from 350m. Cause rhat would be a tough pill to swallow. I bought the runic attuned for 100m. Hoping it would be worth it. I played around with it for a bit getting to 49 charges. My thought process was to get the xp buffs and see if it works on miasma runes. That doesn't seem to be the case, so I'm curious if the xp rates would be better or worse than just doing miasma
@@c00lkid17 so I can't find any info about the thing besides the info on the wiki, how do charges work? Does it gain a charge every time you craft runes at an altar? And does it lose charges? I expect it does but wouldn't have a clue if it loses charges over time, or when unequipped or whatever
@TheEsparoba3 it charges every time you go to the attuned alter and craft runes. I don't believe it loses charges until you hit 50, then on your 50th craft, I believe it goes back to zero (im on 49). You can tele every 5 charges, and that's a separate count, so you don't lose 5 charges from the total number to tele, you just have to go to 5 alters before you can tele again
Yeah to me not being able to do this cause i have to get 76 to 86 archeology to do the stupid quest which would be like 2 hours every day until the end of the event devoted just to be able to do the quest 😂
There is a safer method that I've performed that more takes around 5 and a half minutes, and does allow for face tanking every attack, as the attacks that are on cycle won't be enough to kill you, but the way I do it is I deplete a statue fragment node, initiate the Special Action to slam the statue, rush to the circle that Icthlarin created, and repeat. Fun fact, this method is so doable that you can even bring the Grace of the Elves and Brooch of the Gods equipped for some useful rares from the Seren Spirits and Invention Materials from Divine Blessings.
I am very dissapointed in this boss, what really hyped up, did 50 kills, got an unique sold for 200M, extremelly repetitive and not worth the time, really sad
I personally can't stand croesus lol. To me, skilling bosses just feel lame. The concept of them is awesome, and it's good for skillers to have a boss, but ugh. They're just a slog to get through and really boring. Elidinis included .
Oof. I am still stuck at this part in the quest and died twice. To be fair, this is not a fun boss at all, and I will not do this after I'm done with the quest. :/
@@Vaikisspwnzit really is an easy boss, but to be this toxic towards somebody by insulting them lol 😂 the guy probably doesn’t spend that much time learning mechanics because… maybe he has a life outside of RuneScape where he probably hasn’t got the time to learn like most of us. good god this boss is some hot trash. it's like it was designed to just delete food from the game or something. Taking damage for the sake of taking damage is absolutely stupid
If you stay in the south part, you can kill the boss without food. You just have to keep an eye on your corruption stacks and cleanse them before you get too low. The damage over time is a bit harsh if you get too much corruption, so I recommend that you mine each ore after you've taken the corruption off the rock. A bunyip is a good familiar to bring as it heals you and is quite cheap. If you activate Excalibur after the 2nd "Begone" and use the Transfigure ability before the 3rd "Begone" attack hits you, then you have a good head start. If you use this, then you should be able to mine 2 full rocks and clean the corruption of the 3rd before attacking the boss. After this, you'll have less corruption since you already took the corruption off the 3rd rock, and cleansed the stacks by hitting the boss, so hopefully you can gather enough to finish up the boss in the 2nd hit. Hope it helps

Can you bring persists rage and use barricade and immortal? Seems like free no food kill if that works
@@ThePogieJoe yes
It seems to keep you in combat with the mine/transmute hitsplats which negates persistent rage
Yes. I mention that in the video.
You can also use invention combat dummies to gain adrenaline off of using a weapon (not the th ones tho)
Wooow he dropped his empty tea last vid to signify there no more tea? Rip tea you will be missed
204 kills and all I have gotten is 2 offerings and 1 codex
I have a lot... and a mean A LOT of questing to do...
This kinda feels “very loosely” like guardians of the rift
Actually nvm not really, for some reason I just felt like it was
That was about 6 videos without any meme sounds at the end? I lost count
I actually made two videos with a meme sound (but they have not uploaded yet, scheduled them for my upcoming holiday :( )

Is dying/failing here safe for HCIM?
@@Darby187 yes, you don't actually die just sent out
@@MAXIM_One big ups king
I am very dissapointed in this boss, what really hyped up, did 50 kills, got an unique sold for 200M, extremelly repetitive and not worth the time, really sad
And with no public lobbies who is even going to ever do this in a group? lmao
@@MAXIM_One and it's probably more difficult in a group
Is it only me, or this "boss" seems lame compared to croesus? 🤔
I personally can't stand croesus lol. To me, skilling bosses just feel lame. The concept of them is awesome, and it's good for skillers to have a boss, but ugh. They're just a slog to get through and really boring. Elidinis included .
such a letdown....
Its only you, son.
@@BunsenMusicthe only good skilling boss is big game hunter (not actually a skilling boss but beats both croesus and gate...)
Boss for me itself is okay but the drops are underwhelming. Already below 250m 😮
People in the comments mad they cant just afk it.
Protooxx 😃
Oof. I am still stuck at this part in the quest and died twice. To be fair, this is not a fun boss at all, and I will not do this after I'm done with the quest. :/
poor guy lacking brain cells to figure out this easy af boss ?
@@Vaikisspwnzit really is an easy boss, but to be this toxic towards somebody by insulting them lol 😂 the guy probably doesn’t spend that much time learning mechanics because… maybe he has a life outside of RuneScape where he probably hasn’t got the time to learn like most of us. Besides not everybody plays for PVM content or he simply could be a returning player that needs to catch up with new updates and interface changes. People like you are the reason why people don’t want to learn cause your not even offering constructive criticism 😂🎉. Pure elitist who thinks he his the bees knees looking down on people because he his goated at a point and click game that takes no skill 😂
The "3x3" mechanic actually only hits 1 tile... you only need to move 1 tile to avoid it
I did like 12 kills and according to the quick chat, I've not killed it at all lol ... or rather, not "repaired" it at all
cuz u did it in practice mode aka just finished the quest
@@Vaikisspwnz but I'm still getting drops, I thought practice mode didnt give any?
you forgot the loot bro how mush money you make fk
I’ve got about 50 kills and it’s given me about 31m so far
Tragic boss.
😊 requires too much pvm skills for a skilling boss 😂
its a boss that uses skills, not a skilling boss. learn how to play
and its genuinely not even difficult. using a few movement abilities? eating food? like bro

good god this boss is some hot trash. it's like it was designed to just delete food from the game or something.

Too confusing for me personally
Boring boss tbh
Can’t please everyone.
Skilling bosses aren't my cup of tea. I prefer BOSSING bossing. 🙃
Videos like these I dont find helpful, the information is spat out in a non structured, confusing way that just makes it frustrating to watch.
Absolutely sleeper content..... Stop releasing trash content with trash rewards ffs
ive been getting consistent 3.5min kills only doing the 4 north piles and 3 jumps. no food or BAB needed
