Man I wish I lived in the US sometimes as I imported my Whipple to the UK for the Camaro and it worked out with Shipping and Taxes etc to be $16500.00 . then you gotta do the suspension n brakes so add that again - I could have bought another s550 for the price so i do get where you are coming from with the decision on the whipple. Great videos. I'm retired looking to buy a GT Mustang. Just for weekend fun mountain and beach trips, if you were me, what set up would you get. Fully loaded Premium GT or Dark Horse?
I guess if you are going manual maybe the dark horse just because of the tremec transmission but if not I would definitely go GT because what you get for the money really isn't worth it. I got my GT with the MT82 because I don't think paying an extra 15 to 20,000 really made sense in the whole scheme of things
What springs do you have on the new one? Looks like it sits pretty low. I just traded in my 21 GT for a 21 Mach 1 and I worry if I lower it somehow it won't feel the same. Maybe it will be better but I wouldn't know because I've never done springs. I know there is Steeda and Eibach but when you read anything on the internet it gets a little confusing and then I just bail on the idea. Both cars look great by the way. That stereo looks great in the 14 and that's another issue, in the 21 it certainly is not like the old days. I think the stereo times have passed me by. Thanks!!!!
The 2014 should have been making in the neighborhood of about 350 wheel hp, stock, how is it only making 416 wheel hp with a whipple and other mods , unless i heard you wrong ? That would have been WAY too much spent to pick up only 66 hp, I would think 3 lbs of boost would give you that much hp.
I noticed the audio of the instrument cluster on the startup of the s650 sounds like the previous generations. If I'm not mistaken, the new gen should have a different tone (more of a bass thump note).
Alot of stuff is same as previous generation and you're just now noticing this? It even rideson an s550 chassis it's literally a face-lift s550 they're passing off as an "all new" car I cannot beleive people buy these. They could release a turd, call it all new mustang and people would buy it smh
I love the Mustang Coyote motor with the 10 speed but the previous generations I didn't like because it was low tech, in the body looks feminine / girly or look outdated. I got the 2024 Mustang GT premium option out only because they finally made it a fully technological car then made the body look aggressive and sinister. Only then, I jump into it.
You waited way too long the s650 is a shell of what mustang once was and the locked down ecu kills it. It's basically an s550 2.0 with locked ecu. The fact you're buying a mustang for "tech" tells me all i need to know. Very ironic you call the s550 "girly" with an opinion like that lol
Also what do you mean mustang was "low tech" for the money they cost they actually had alot of tech in them especially compared to comparable cars in the same price range. What are you comparing it against 80-90k dollar bmws?
@midnight347 I don't know what you got from me buying it because of the tech. I work in it everything around me is a ecosystem of Samsung so getting a vehicle that don't have the tech will not please me in any shape or form. And yes Mustangs was low Tech but now Ford was they do have a video talking about it they're trying to bring in the new generation of people which is me and what they want is big screen and Tech built inside their cars that's why the s650 is the way it is. And we're going to see more stuff like this in the future. There's a whole video about it with Ford engineers
@midnight347 yes the S550 was bubbly and girly. I find it still to this day funny that girls compare my car (aggressive and Sinister looking aka a guy's car) to the s550 and they prefer the s550 because it's girly.
@@N2MYGT right, I don't get this fascination for these big screens in cars. I want actual buttons and a CD player like mine has. I've got over 100 CDs and its nice to actually listen to quality audio instead of crappy mp3s.
They don't look like a camaro it looks like a 15-17 s550 with a face-lift. The rear quarter is the only camaro similar thing on the entire car. Just bought a 2014, I like the look of the new ones but not interested in all the garbage tech they put in them.
I just like the new Tech it's too much.. It's hard enough to keep one eye on my Red line and drive hard.. It's the Then look def...
