- In the much anticipated opening game of the 1996 East Conference final, the Chicago Bulls crushes the powerless Orlando Magic with a 38 points (difference) onslaught. In a typical team effort with a relatively quiet MJ, Luc Longley, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman contribute remarkably. In the process the Magic lose their power forward (and ex-Bull) Horace Grant injured. Grant was instrumental in the Bulls' defeat the year before and would not return to this series!
That's sweet justice at 3:30. Shaq tries to throw a "cheap ass chicken shit" shot at Pippen and ends up injuring his own player-- God is great!! Gotta love it!
So, what if still had Grant & Shaq would've never been traded? The Magic would've won a championship or two, but that's what they got. Since then, the Magic have never rebounded from those four losses in the '95 Finals, & have appeared in the playoffs a little, but never made it back since then.
Fred Hickman looks like a different person (granted, this is 12 years old).
Jordan's great, but that shot off the pass was late...
@dgendvil the magic was a quick fire, but never a dynasty potential. its impossible to compare mj, scottie and the worm vs shaq, penny and grant. grant was good but low-key.
